On learning of “Mann’s” collusion in the Global Warming scam, I wrote an email to PSU demanding he be fired. I got an email back addressed to “Dear Citizen of the Globe”....immediately thereafter I began throwing away any resume froma prospective engineering candidate who had graduated from PSU. I hired at least 10 engineers during that period - not one of them was from PSU.
In what I see as a climate of “protect the university, first - at all costs,” even this $60 Million Dollar slap on the wrist is not enough. The NCAA death penalty should be the death penalty - not money, but complete removal of football - for at least a generation.
This hurts ‘innocent’ students and alumni? BS. I contend the very enthusiastic and unbridled support for the ‘program’ contributed significantly to the administration’s need ‘get it off the radar screen’, put it away to protect the image and income. It’s a game, folks - not a friggin religion - no messiah here - just evil people who allowed young boys to be raped, repeatedly. That statue should be pulverized and then melted down into several dozen symbolic pairs of prision shackles if you ask me.
good for you and Thanks for what you are doing. Maybe a little PR on this topic via some of the “college bubble” folks like instapundit would help to spread the concept and get PSU to take a look - cause their grads are screaming!!! Yea for you.
Spot on.
Because Penn State was not previously on probation, the NCAA's hands were tied in the matter. Penn State probably could have successfully overturned the DP, and then what? Probably safer to do what the NCAA did.
