If you have surgery and they knock you out, can your doctor also rape you while you’re on the table? I mean, after all, you consented, and your doctor was in the mood so it must be okay, right?

Going to a party where there will be alcohol, drugs, and almost certainly sex, is very different than a hospital environment.
Then, willing drinking in such an environment (party) until you have no control over your person is inviting, or at a minimum, permitting, tragedy, and that’s what happened.
Not all that different than willingly running out onto a busy freeway.
