That’s the phrase used to describe the termination of a sports program for some specified period of time.

If only PSU had just cheated and turned a blind eye when players were getting paid like USC and OSU, there wouldn’t be a problem and the NCAA would just give the school a very mild punishment.

We’ll have to wait and see what the corrupt and inept NCAA will do but the penalty should affect the SCHOOL not the football program.

Death penalty????

ESPN is reporting no death penalty, but a combination of scholarship losses, bowl prohibitions, and other penalties that, in the aggregate, may make a one-year death penalty look less severe.
