I never liked Joe Paterno. That said, if the NCAA punishes Penn State for something unrelated to competitive advantages that might have been gained, Penn State will sue and win.

Also, what is the NCAA going to do about lesbian relationships between members of coaching staffs and players? Those are very common.

It will be interesting to see how this ripples through society and the media, who have been pushing homosexuality to our children, and pushing sex in general at every turn.

...number one, you have no idea if they’d win such a suit or not, and number two, the last place PSU wants to be right now is in court, with this drama staying in the public eye...the NCAA could easily charge PSU with weak internal compliance controls, something the Association is very big on, and then, do whatever they deem just...unless you can point to the rule in the NCAA playbook that stipulates punitive action is limited to on field competitive advantages...
