On perusing the BBC Sport website, The Commentator was disgusted to see the inherent anti-Israel bias shine through even when it comes to something as trivial as country profiles on their Olympics website.
Every other nation represented on the BBC website has a profile of the country that lists ‘Key Facts’. For instance, Djibouti’s top medal sport is athletics, its population is 879,100 and its capital is Djibouti. In case you were unsure, Iranians are good at wrestling, their capital is Tehran and there are just over 75 million people living there.
But if you’re interested in the state of Israel, you’ll have a hard time obtaining a certain bit of information from the BBC website. Sure, Israel shines at sailing and judo … and it has a population of 7.3 million. But we were interested to know where the BBC placed Israel’s capital.
It seems… nowhere.
Israel is the only country listed, correct at the time of writing, that has no capital according to the BBC. Yet they bestow the honor of having East Jerusalem as a capital on the country of ‘Palestine’. …

Your broad brush statement is like saying, “Americans are racist.” Jew hate is a European disease for sure, but in the universe of European jew hate, the British are better than most.

At another level, ther were also very close ties between the then ruling Labour parties of the two countries. Although much has changed since, Britain remains one of the least anti-semitic of European countries.
When it finally comes time to do unto the Paliscum as they’ve been trying to do unto Israel, the BBC taking a few dozen missile hits would make a very good “starting gun” type signal.
But, sadly enough, there’s no real difference between the BBC, any western continental European news agency or any of our own msm brands favored by the Domestic Enemy.
What does it say?
No country of birth is listed, just "Jerusalem."
Children of US citizens born in Taiwan have their country of birth listed as "Taiwan," not "China." Imagine the uproar if the US state department decided to change it to "China."

My point is that a well known anti-Israel news organization doesn't recognize Israel's legitimacy and her right to decide her own capital, and people throw a fit. At the same time, it's the official policy of the US government.
And it stinks!

The vast majority of the British public either support Israel or to be blunt dont care about it or any of the ‘Middle Eastern problem’. 40+ years of the PLO, Munich, Intafadas have brought contempt and boredom towards the issues. So most Brits may be ‘callous’ towards Israel and the ME, but it is from boredom of the issue, NOT any anti-israeli/anti-semitic bent.
As others have pointed out, there is no history of antisemitism in Scotland, NI or Wales. And English antisemitism have been relegated historically to the upper class or the knuckle dragging end of the working class.
The British have NEVER been an antisemitic or an anti-israeli people (even after the events of 1944-48). Many of Britain’s greatest and most admired/beloved businesses, businessmen, writers, entertainers are openly Jewish and always have been.
Frankly, there is probably more of a history of antisemitism in America than in the UK.
And Jewish politicians have been far more open than in the US, from Disraeli to today. Conservative and liberal. We had a Prime Minister of Jewish descent when you had Dred Scott. And our current PM is of (Portuguese) Jewish descent.
And the Labour leader (Milliband) is of substantial Jewish descent.
Where’s YOUR Jewish President?. Or VP?. You cant even elect a woman yet!.
The British have time and time again REJECTED the naked antisemites, be it Mosley and his blackshirts in the 1930’s OR the BNP today.
Those who oppose Israel in the UK, the hardleft, the pro-Palestine groups, the commentators who attack Israel, are in fact a minority, most of whose screeds against Israel get ignored.
Dont think that because a minority in the UK shouts very loudly that they speak for the British people.

The American ignorance of modern Britain is pitiful.
Britain sent aid to Israel until 1999.
And the only military action taken by British forces in 1948 was to DEFEND an Israeli airbase against an Arab attack.
