A shocking and disturbing video taken by an undercover investigator at a pig farm depicts the horrific extent of animal cruelty being practiced at a pork-supply company used by Walmart.
Mercy For Animals released the graphic video which documents the daily animal abuse allegedly taking place at Christensen Farms in Minnesota. The video depicts hundreds of pigs packed into cages so tiny, they can barely move or even turn around. Some of the usually-social animals bite down on the bars just for something to do.

Well stated and informative.
Check this out. The Michigan DNR is successfully shutting down this kind of pig farmer that treats his hogs better than a lot of people are treating their kids....

Bacon!
***you should be 100% vegan or raise your own.***
You would be shocked at the number of animals that are killed to provide a vegan meal. Vegetable eating rabbits, deer, moles, grain eating birds, the number is endless!
“The chilling squeals of other piglets pierce the air as the tiny animals have their testicles and tails ripped off with pliers, allegedly without any anesthetic used.”
I hate to shock folks, but I’ve never seen a calf anesthetized before being castrated and branded. IIRC, they make the biggest fuss being dehorned. That is done without being anesthetized, too.
Docking tails from lambs...ditto.
I think those two responses technically count as a “bitch slapping”.
I appreciate your insightful information PP and A2F.
“This pig is seen biting incessantly on the bars of the cage simply because there is nothing else for it to do or anywhere to go.”
Hope they don’t watch my horses too closely...or my dogs with a stick in the backyard.
The county extension officer heard some disturbing reports about hog farmer Smith so he went out to see for himself.
He noticed that the hogs were penned and wallowing under the house.
He knocked on the door, was invited in, and over coffee asked the farmer, “Do you think that’s really a good idea? I mean, from a health standpoint?”
And Smith replied, “I been raising hogs this way for 40 years and I ain’t lost one yet.”

Please don’t interject facts into this thread, you’re spoiling all the fun.
I have been on this earth 55 years. Pigs are abused. It is their lot in this life.
It is not very complicated. Pigs are pigs so that people might life. Quite simple, acutally.
I doubt the pig is having as much fun as your horses and dogs are.
should have been “so that people might live”.
Given the fact that pigs are processed in plants staffed by illegals from third world countries, taking a moral stand on pig farms is just hypocritical. The pure should not eat any commercially processed meat.
” doubt the pig is having as much fun as your horses and dogs are.”
Well, of course not. The horses are the Shaqs and the dogs are the Michael Vicks of the farm. The pigs are the muslims.
No more drinky for you.
No worries. I have plenty.
If you think animals need intellectual stimulation, you haven’t met many teens playing video games or watching TV.
It is a PIG, for goodness sakes! I like my horses well enough, but I don’t provide them Internet service in their corral.
How do you think wild animals live? How do you think a wild pig lives? Here’s a hint: they don’t run around singing ‘Born Free’...
A lot of these videos are staged to get exactly the emotional reaction that we see on this thread.
I once had a student who didn't eat eggs that came from chicken butts. He got his at the grocery store like "normal" people.
Now that you mention it, I think I have read about that. Life is a very cruel and tough thing. I am afraid many Americans today would starve to death if they were forced to fend for themselves in the real world. And I mean that quite sincerely.
