ABC News and Brian Ross are apologizing for an "incorrect" report that James Holmes, the suspect in the Colorado theater shooting, may have had connections to the Tea Party.
"An earlier ABC News broadcast report suggested that a Jim Holmes of a Colorado Tea Party organization might be the suspect, but that report was incorrect," ABC News said in a statement. "ABC News and Brian Ross apologize for the mistake, and for disseminating that information before it was properly vetted."
In a similar statement released minutes earlier, ABC News said the report was "incorrect" but, rather than apologize, wrote: "Several other local residents with similar names were also contacted via social media by members of the public who mistook them for the suspect." The statement appeared at first to be an attempt byt the network to abdicate responsibility for the report.

Brian the commie ‘RAT Ross is nothing but a lowlife Fluken pig. Never let a good human tragedy go unexploited. FUBR!!! You pig!!!
Everybody knows that the Right Wing nutcases in the Tea Party are violent extremist; so naturally we thought they were involved.
Its a natural mistake. Heck anyone would make that conclusion!

ABC
“Always Been Crooked”
The North Hollywood shooters wore full body armor because they had just robbed a bank and intended to live through their crime spree.
The Colombine shooters did not wear body armor and did not expect to live.
Jared Loughner did not wear body armor, did not intend to live or was just living in an alternate reality and did not expect to die.
This guy walks in wearing full body armor, mask, bullet proof vest, swat helmet. He obviously intended to live, and this was no robbery.
Saddle up cowboys, there's a gun grab coming.
Right after I saw this today I searched Intelius for James Holmes and found about 7 in the Aurora area. I accessed the Colo. Tea Party page and found the schedule for Brigitte Gabriel’s symposium posted on Holmes’ page. This took me all of two minutes. But then I didn’t google Tea Party out of the box. I searched James/Jim Holmes on Intelius. Clearly this was not an effort to find truth. it was an effort to place blame, and if I’m O’Reilly, and Hannity, and Greta I hammer ABC with this. Ross went on the air, and Steffi and his director knew the context, without having done the simplest bit of research. They had a snippet that matched their narrative and that’s all that mattered.
The apology is a lie unless those responsible are fired.
If he is a registered democrat this needs to be constantly mentioned. Too bad even Fox won’t mention it.
Kantor to Steponallofus: "Wait, wait, look at Indiana 42-40. It doesnt matter if we win. Those people are shit "
For what it is worth I do not accept their apology. Whats the ole saying... first time, my fault... second time ... whatever, I think Bush might know it... lolololololol anyway
“There’s an old saying in Tennessee I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee that says, fool me once, shame on shame on you. Fool me you can’t get fooled again.”
Let’s just boycott these MSM suckers.
Fairly easy for NBC, now owned by Comcast. Just drop your cable company and get Dish or DirecTv.
ABC is owned by Disney?
ABC: “Hey, sorry about blaming you guys for being mass murderers again. Next time we’ll do a little more research before we report directly from the Democrat Underground. Well... probably not, come to think of it.”
For those of you not in the know, their "News Coverage" was
What a Bunch of Putzes.
ABC = All Bull Crap
I read that he was working on his PhD.
I hope this gets posted everywhere and I hope all guests on the talking head shows mention Brian Ross’ name on the sex registry. Just make the statement and leave it at that.
Beck:
Google Brian Ross and sex related charges, 10 year old girls, nude photos. Theyre not sure if it is chief investigative reporter at ABC, no verification. But it was important to break in with this news.
I am listening to that... Beck Proves a very valid point.
If we hold politicians and citizens responsible (well, mostly), these news mongers should be BLED to pay for their irresponsible actions.
They wanted the morning prime time people to hear this before they go to work, so they would spread misinformation.
