AURORA, Colo. (AP) — A gunman wearing a gas mask opened fire early Friday at a suburban Denver theater at the opening of the Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises," killing 14 people and injuring at least 50 others, authorities said.
The gunman, who is in custody, stood at the front of the theater and fired into the crowd about 12:30 a.m. MDT at a multiplex theater in a mall in Aurora.
"Witnesses tell us he released some sort of canister. They heard a hissing sound and some gas emerged and the gunman opened fire," Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates said at a news conference.

It amazes me that people bring young kids and infants to see a movie in the middle of the night. Those kids should be at home in bed at that ungodly hour.
Those Batman movies are rather intense for young kids, too.
Same with Black Friday in November.....lining up in the dark at 3:00 AM.....in the cold.....with small children in tow?

The politically correct FBI proclaims this is not a terrorist incident, next it will be announced that it is a work place incident, and the news outlets will be labeling the shooter as WHITE whatever
One witness’ account said he appeared to be dressed up as a Goth(as in the Columbine shootings). A White Goth converting to islime? Anything’s possible, but is it probable?
They would withhold his name to give cover to the media as they shape and pin the guilt by political association on the right.
If people don’t have his name, they can’t find the turd on the internet and dispute Dear Reader’s ‘narrative.’
It would be very helpful if we could obtain a picture of a no gun sign at the theater.
I worry about copy cats now—I would not go to see this film for a while. Looks like a left leaning student did the deed. i guess they grow the weird in Colorado.

One of my first thoughts also. What are they thinking? None of my business. They are the parents but still......If my daughter said she was going to take my 9 year old grandson to see Batman movie at midnight, I would ask if she would like to leave him with us instead. And I know she would. I do not understand who takes kids out at this time of night or to see this kind of movie.

I heard a witness say that someone stood up during the movie and was on his cell phone and then opened the exit door for the shooter.
I want to know how they think tracking guns, tracking bullets, tracking anything prevents atrocities?
