Yep. Armed victims create a hostile work environment for those hard-working dedicated robbers, ya know...

So her son can freely harm others with no consequences to himself?
Hopefully the judge will be enlightened and throw the case out.

Was the perp a good boy who made a mistake and was getting his life back on track by going to community college?

Throw the case out was my first thought. Then I thought how she sees deep pockets because Kroger did not fire the man. Still, she must be nuts or found a lawyer to get her some $$$

Why of course, he was getting his life back in order, that’s why he committed armed robbery! Could have seen this coming, right after the original story broke. The store manager performed the correct action.

I know the perp had a gun. The manager on duty wasn't going to be the one dead while he worked for his money. BTW, I know a few grocery workers in Indianapolis who conceal carry be damned the store policy. Too many crazies in this town.

Yep, going to night school, trying to take care of his girlfriends baby he had with her, a delight to the community, etc, blah blah blah. So he had the right to a gun but the store manager didn’t have the right to protect himself and employees??

Or maybe he was studying to be a "graphic designer".

Lawsuits like this are why we need “loser pays”. No lawyer would ever take a case like this again.

No...
Atkinson had a warrant out for his arrest in connection with a robbery and criminal confinement case.

The Lebanese family that ran the grocery store in my old ‘hood in Queens all had 9mm under the counter, every cashier, and they damn well made sure the “community” knew it. And they never got robbed.
