For some context, Ann Romney meant “you” people referring to the craven media as opposed to Barack Obama saying “you people think you are smart” meaning every working person in America. Context, my friend.
Are you people muawiyah for Barack Obama? You are sure not for the republican candidate. Everyone should just ignore your posts cuz you are imo a closet Obama person or for nobody, just a troublemaker as I note your posts go back to Al Landon. Pretty far back to bash the GOP aren’t you?
>> Virginia isn’t just “one state” ~ it’s the most pivotal in the race
Really. ROFLMAO
>> I see no reason to sell out my principles because you people are stupid!
Your entire position is based on your own “magic thinking” about the world, not on reality. That statement pretty well summarizes it. “muawiyah has spoken, and you people are stupid”.
Suit yourself. Like I said earlier, I live in Realville.
>> and make his, Romney’s, pitiful 20% and 30% vote totals
I just noticed that statement.
Sorry, FRiend, this bit of muawiyah “magic thinking” is going to require substantiation before I’ll consider it.
My quick research reveals that Romney had just in excess of 50% of the primary vote — well in excess of the “20 to 30” per cent you maintain.
Considering that the other 50% was split among four or more candidates, none of which got more than 10 to 20% total, and it’s sure looking like the broad support — like it or not — has always been for Romney.
Further fuel on the fire: essentially *all* of the “other” candidates have now endorsed Romney. Add in their convention votes and his totals go from “broad” to “huge”.
What exactly do you think will now happen at the convention? Not the “magic thinking” of the fever swamp of your addled brain — I’m asking what you’d put money on as actually happening in the *real world* in Tampa in August 2012. I predict that, like it or not, Romney will get 80% or better of the nominating votes on the first ballot; the only disruption will be from Paul supporters.
Say... you’re not one of THOSE... are you?
I'm not running for anything. And I'm 'specially not running away. Not any more.
But I WOULD appreciate your vote.
Instead, you offer: "Two words: Ross Perot."
To which I offer FOUR words:
Repubilcan Revolution. Impeachment proceedings.
Do you think either of those would have happened if HWB had been re-elcted, or if Clinton had ever won with a majority of the popular vote?
Here is the hard, cold MATHEMATICAL truth, and indeed, FRiend, IT IS MATH: Every third-party vote is neutral with regard to the major two-party candidates, and every third party votes counts toward weakening the popular mandate of whichever guy wins. That MATHEMATICAL FACT is why Clinton never received a popular mandate, and the fact that the majority of Americans voted for somebody else both times, are a major reason that Clinton got his ass kicked with the Republican Revolution and eventually had to face impeachment proceedings.
So stop LYING with your "mathematical" BS. The only way to favor Obama is to mark his name on your ballot. THAT IS THE MATH.
Finny: When I vote third-party, when a Green Weenie Tree Hugger votes third-party, when a Ron Paul type votes third-party, when an Independent votes third-party, when a disillusioned Democrat votes third-party, and when a committed Libertarian votes third-party, each one of those votes will favor neither Obama nor Romney.
Mathematically-challenged Rock Lobster: No, it will favor the incumbent. It's Math.
Really! Then how is it that all the third party votes that went to Perot in 92, didn't favor the incumbent HW Bush? HMMMMMMMM???
Would you like to know why? Because your "math" is bull puckey, that's why.
And Clinton's lack of a popular mandate the first time (when 57% of Americans voted for somebody else) led to the Republican Revolution, and led to impeachment proceedings the second time (when 51% of Americans voted for somebody else).
So you are darned right it makes sense to vote third party at the top of the ticket to force a plurality and lack of mandate on whichever bastard wins, because either way, the bastard is going to be a statist who will be pushing government tyranny.
Lobster: Right! (ain't no such thing)
Oh, really! Guess you'd better tell that to my handful of Democrat friends who loved Obama last time, but won't be voting for him this time. And while your'e at it, tell it to Windflier's relatives. And tell it to apillar, who posted a few days ago:
I've heard from dozens of people in my workplace that voted for Obama in 2008 who are voting for Romney in 2012.
Snap out of it and get your cool back, Lobster. You're losing it here.

Well, Mu, Lobster ought to know -- his "math" with regard to voting sounds like ... well, more like Gray Magic ... but you get my drift. {^)
Do you have Form U-0-US handy, just in case I get desperate?
Don’t be silly. Everybody knows what rich women mean by “you people” ~ just get over it ~
Don’t be silly. Everybody knows what rich women mean by “you people” ~ just get over it ~
They've repeated that mistake numerous times.
I think you don't understand what we are talking about ~ so here it is ~ the GOP-e is just one faction in the Republican party. They are not the whole party, nor even the majority. As they've become a smaller and smaller part of the party they've become more and more desperate. That's why they are into cheating and trickery. None of them are as transparent as people who believe in America would like them to be, and it's beginning to look like they are incapable of that.
When you cover up for them you reveal yourself to be a GOP-e "toady" and not a Conservative at all.
NT, you live in “loserville”. You’re the same crowd who’ll be in here four years from now peddling the Governor of New Jersey.
You sure called that one spot-on. Amen Brother FReeper.
I do. But it will never get so bad that you have to support their lies when you have someone like me who WILL support yours. ;-)
“you live in loserville”? That’s a really poor showing for a man of your talents, muawiyah. It doesn’t even make sense.
