During a Bowling Green, Ohio, town hall on Wednesday, presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney assured a tea party supporter that his pick for VP will be "a conservative," and responded quickly to an "angry mom" who called the president a "monster" that he wouldn't use that term.

He considers himself a severe Conservative. I would not get my hopes up too much.

Hopefully, the pick won’t be as severe as him.
I think it’s going to be Rubio.
What a lame comment Mittster. Who ELSE would you pick besides a true conservative, genius?
I think it won’t be.
I have been on record as late as this week that I thought it would be a governor that he picked.
Now I think all the ducks are lining up behind Rubio.
I’m such a sure and steady guy.
2012: Romney quickly responded to an “angry mom” who called the president a “monster” that he wouldn’t use that term.
2008: McCain yank the mic away from an older woman, after she called him “an Arab” that she “couldn’t trust.” - McCain: “He is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared about as President of the United States. If I didn’t think I would be one heck of a better president I wouldn’t be running.”
He should have said, I wouldn’t use that term, I’d prefer communist. But then, we’d be splitting hairs now wouldn’t we?”
apples and oranges....Romney later told the woman she had every right to be angry...
Monster is a pretty tame word, the old lady should hear what I call Obama.
Traitor is one of the better ones.
No, all the ducks from insiders, according to ABC news last month, said that the RINO Rubio was not being vetted. Then their story became a flap, so of course Mittens said Rubio "is being vetted."
It would be very unwise for Romney to call him a monster or seem to be doing so by agreeing.
That is the red meat the MSM is waiting for to go 24/7 with Romney not having a Presidential temperament...or worse, starting the racist drumbeat pounding. Romney doesn’t need to make any gaffs - as Obama has made huge gaffs in the past week alone. Anything by Romney that will get Obama’s own words our of the headlines and the commentaries is not helpful.
He doesn’t need to do that...because it is stupid to do it and it adds absolutely nothing of value.
SARAH PALIN.
Just saying... :)
how about romney calls him EVIL!....

Jindal.
Well, just my own opinion and nothing more, but I suspect that the ABC story was invented - a misdirection by accident - by ABC just to start lips flapping. Since it was the first thing out of the box on the VP, Romney responded to it.
Anyway, it’s all just guesswork at this point...and as I say, I seem to be all over the place on this one.
He just should not have addressed it at all. Simply answered the question and ignored the monster comment.
