"You can't fight evil with evil"
July 17, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 07/17/2012 3:30:32 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

As Alan Keyes wrote the other day, you cannot fight evil with evil.

If you haven't read it, do yourself a favor:

A Choice Between Satan and Beelzebub (FR thread)

Brief excerpt:

I grieve deeply as I contemplate the fact that millions of Americans are letting themselves be caught in this diabolical snare. As I tried to point out in 2008, the lesser of evils is still evil. No matter how such an election turns out, people content to choose between Satan and Beelzebub have made clear their willingness to let things go to hell. Moreover, the nature of their choice is so clear to them that they practically boast of the passionate hatred that impels them to it. With this practical boast they become the willing, proud accomplices of the very evil they profess to hate.

I’m morally certain this is why Christ admonished his disciples to make striving for God’s perfection the standard for their actions, rather than their hatred of evil. He thought it better to fail reaching for this standard than succeed by abandoning one’s life to the devil’s dominion. He thought it better to fail in the world’s eyes while commending one’s spirit to God (as he does on the cross) than succeed by casting one’s lot with God’s adversary.

--Alan Keyes

A man who for over 30 years of his adult life by his own admission justified the wholesale slaughter of innocent and helpless human life is purely evil and can and did justify anything. Many times.

Romney's entire political life has been a mis-adventure into godless liberal/progressive evil. There can be no denying that he has during his tenure either advocated for or personally enacted nearly the entire godless liberal/progressive agenda. He has succeeded where the Democrats have failed and he has shown them the way. His record of evil leftist doings, rationalizing, justifying, flip-flopping and mealy-mouthed parsing and spinning (lying) precedes him and tells the tale of the man. He has no foundation. No core principles. No Christian values. No moral compass. If ever a man was a godless liberal in the GOP, he is Myth Romney.

If the Republican conservatives in office or in leadership positions or in the so-called conservative media would simply stop rooting for this evil bastard and commit to the TRUTH and stand tall for Life and Liberty now and at the convention, we could chuck this liberal bastard onto the ash heap of history and run a pro-life, pro-liberty, pro-small government conservative Republican that we can all be proud to support over the Marxist usurper. And we would WIN in a Reaganesque landslide!!

Perversely, Romney is just about the only Republican who may actually lose to Obama. Hell, even McCain beat Romney.

Taking the right path is not easy and not popular at this time, but it's the only path.

May we stand on God's side while attempting to save our Republic!!

Sometimes you have to align with Stalin to defeat Hitler

Ah... Franklin Delano Roosevelt conservatism.

Thanks, but no.

As a self admitted Idiot that Voted Perot in 92, I tip my hat to your grasp of Mathematics. Bravo my FRiend, bravo.

If only Perot had changed his name to “Other”, there would have been no Clinton and no Obama. LOL

This is not WWII. Obama and Romney may both think they’re dictators, but there’s no tators there. Petty tyrants should be spanked and run out of Dodge. Support your local sheriff.

"You're operating under the delusion that this election was/is/will be honest after all the corruption ALREADY seen in every institutional process that exists in the Federal government."

So once again WHY would you even take the time to vote for Goode? What delusion are you operating under?

The herd of cats problem.

Cubed.

We missed a golden opportunity here. But, politics is never 'done.' Or fixed, whatever. It's just constant battle.

We do still have some good opportunities though. We still have a good chance in House and Senate races. If we take these, I believe (really do) that they will pass needed bills to undo much of Obamanation.

We really just need a president that will sign them.

IMHO, FWIW.

To watch you wet your panties when your liberal with an R behind his name fails.

If Republicans want conservatives to vote for their guy... that guy needs to be conservative.

I'll vote for someone that has a pro-life, pro-gun, small government history.

"Posit the following vote totals, just for the sake of this demonstration: OBAMA: 1,000,000 votes. MITTENS: 1,000,000 votes. OTHER: 1,000,000 votes. Further posit that my vote is the sole ballot remaining, and yet to be cast. Demonstrate: How my NOT casting a vote for Mittens increases Obama's vote total from 1,000,000 to any other positive or negative integer, anywhere along the numerical scale. Use both sides of the paper, if necessary. Show ALL of your work. "

Have you been voting Republican in the past? Did you vote for Bush, or McCain?

If you have been voting conservative in the past then you are counted as one of our team who needs to vote for us to win. So here's your answer. Obama: 1,000,000 votes Romney: 999,999 votes

Your non vote has elected Obama.

Now, do you have any other math questions?

But if these would restrain Obama, why do we presume they would not restrain the other leftist liar, Romney

A Romney presidency could potentially be even more damaging than 0bama's re-election. Why?

  1. A GOP Congress would be significantly less likely to restrain leftist initiatives from Romney, inasmuch as they would be members of the same party.
  2. There is also the well-known "honeymoon" effect which follows the election of a new President.
Conservatives who ignore this possibility are being willfully blind, IMHO.

Presuming that the GOP maintains control of the House, and considering the fact that they might also take the Senate, it is a distinct possibility that a Romney presidency could accomplish significantly more socialism than if 0bama were re-elected.

Believe me, I wish this wasn't a likely scenario, but unfortunately for all Americans, it is...

You may be fine with Obama, but most aren’t. I’ll take hemorrhoids over pancreatic cancer. At least there’s cream to soothe the pain.

It’s either four years of Romney or for more years of Obama. I’ve made my choice, just as you have.

I'm certainly not operating under the delusion that the election is going to be an honest count, nor that the electorate oppose what the Ruling Class have brainwashed the majority into envying and wanting the government to become.

Hopeless and clueless are those who put their faith in a corrupted system of men who have either abandoned God or are become so lukewarm as to have no saltiness left their principles and faith.

As the saying goes, the president proposes and congress disposes.

Legislation begins in congress, the president’s role here is to sign or veto.

The chance of Obama signing legislation repealing Obamanation is zero.

The chance of Romney signing is somewhat higher.

Now, do you have any other math questions?

None that you have even the slightest chance of comprehending -- much less correctly solving! -- from the shockingly inadequate evidence provided. You are, to put it as charitably as possible, howlingly innumerate.

1.)You begin, literally, with a baldly unsupported (and unsupportable) assumption: that any given political party does, or even can, somehow peremptorily "own" a vote, prior to its being cast.

To label such an assertion "moronic," sadly, would only serve to ennoble it considerably. Support said assertion,to the best of your demonstrably meager abilities. I'll even be gracious, and offer bonus points if you're wearing big, orange floppy shoes while so attempting. (I entertain easily.)

2.)You either cheat (ineptly), or else are simply incapable of reading for simple, baseline comprehension. Your "answer" -- poor, palsied thing that it is -- arbitrarily changed the given parameters of the equation, by simply lowering Mittens' already established vote total, for no stated or supported reason.

The epic, towering imbecility in attempting something so profoundly bone-headed and self-humiliating -- in a written and archived forum, mind -- requires no further elucidation on my part.

Yours is, quite simply, the most spectacularly buck-toothed, knock-kneed and profoundly inbred demonstration of purest, unalloyed FAIL I have ever yet had the goggle-eyed and disbelieving experience of witnessing, online.

Congratulations, I suppose.

(Dearest God... please, oh please save me from the spastic fumblings of the thickly and obdurately innumerate -- !)

FINN: get a load of this thalidomide circus act, willya...? ;)

Who knew that you singlehandedly controlled the fate of the Republic.

You know, Johnny: I can actually remember a time, not all that long past, really -- i.e., my own grade school years, in the early '60s -- when kids in school were actually grounded in the most rudimentary mathematical concepts of simple addition and subtraction, if nothing else.

Cripes... I feel so blamed old, now, after blinking incredulously at all of that addlepated, anti-math pants-loading -- ! ;)

Mr. Other wins it

Re-read the actual question at hand -- paying especial attention to that portion obligingly highlighted in red -- and try again.
