We were very fortunate to have a ten minute downpour yesterday. With this heat and without much rain, it can be dangerous because of the chance of fire.

We never water the lawn or gardens, unless we've newly planted, or unless it's our herbs, vegetables or flowers in planters.

You were fortunate, thank God!

We have no way to water our lawn, so it just sits there and dies. When we get normal precipitation back again, it should green up again.

Every time we get a pitiful few tenths of an inch of rain, some green shoots appear. That gives me hope.
