You were fortunate, thank God!

We have no way to water our lawn, so it just sits there and dies. When we get normal precipitation back again, it should green up again.

Every time we get a pitiful few tenths of an inch of rain, some green shoots appear. That gives me hope.

As long as the lawn is well established, it should be fine once the rain comes. The danger is with new sod or seed, I believe, because the roots aren’t ..uh...well rooted. :)
