Does anyone know why? Her last post was #117 on this thread, and it was a very innocuous comment. I'm just a little dismayed. She's been a regular on this thread and predates me on Free Republic by more than a year! I think she was a charter member (signed up when JimRob first set up accounts).
Anyway, if you have any information, please let me know or Freemail me.
My guess would be supporting Romney too vigorously.
Pray for America
This place is but a hollow shell of what it formerly was.
The wildest dreams of deceptive trolls and other illwishers has been realized, and all from within.
That a poster of long standing (or short) gets booted because of too vigourous a support for the front runner of the party to which they belong, on this political forum, is sad.
Some who would rather die, or allow zero to win, still espouse voting conservative down the line to make it difficult for Obama to preside.
All those conservatives down the line that you all are going to vote for, just who do you think those politicans are going to support or vote for, Paul? Obama? Goode? Hoefling?
So, you are supporting Romney by proxy. Nice. Or will you screen all those candidates down list, and personally gaurantee that you know who they are supporting before you vote for them?
And if they support Romney, you won't for them either?
Will this result in net conservatives or marxists in both houses of congress, if not state houses?
But...hey, we are the pure, we will prevail...we shall overcome. We just need to whittle down this political forum a tad more until all we hear is our echo.
Yeah, that's the ticket.
What an effin joke.
See ya.
My guess is similar to bray’s. There are two factions around FR: those who won’t ever vote for Romney (even if he were running against Satan), and the other group who will reluctantly vote for him vs. face another term of obama. Altura belonged to the former, I believe.
Hopefully altura will be back. She(?) was quite mature in her/his postings compared to some I’ve seen on this site. We need more of that, not less.
Former or latter?
Wow, am I an idiot...I must need more coffee. I meant to say I believe altura belonged to the latter.....would vote for Romney even if reluctantly. Sorry.
latter....I just realized my mistake in the post after yours.
Wow...not sure where my mind is this morning.
Too bad FreeRepublic doesn’t believe in Freedom of Speech. Whether we like Romney or not, he won the primary which unfortunately is our system and that is who we have to vote for. If you choose to not vote I respect that but so should your respect be for my choice to vote.
Altura should be allowed back. Strong opinions should be welcomed not banned.
Pray for America
Well, we’re just assuming why altura was banned and haven’t seen any actual posts. But, I agree, bray, mutual respect seems like a plan to me. I have no problem with people trying to convince each other to change their position on whether they vote or not vote for Romney. The problem comes in when people become too passionate to the point of downright nastiness. The Santorum threads were an eye-opener for me. Some posters were just plain disgusting with their anti-Santorum comments. It drove a lot of people away from commenting because it became ridiculous with all the namecalling, etc. (lol, not me.....I know how to be nice even if I disagree).
Hopefully this phenomena doesn’t begin again with the anti-Romney posts/threads.....and hopefully altura comes back. I appreciate her (?) postings which generallly are politically pragmatic.
Really sad, I hope she comes back under another name, this is uncalled for.Thought police all over again.
I refuse to post here anymore...stated so a few days ago
2 reasons.....I’m part of the Cold Case Possee....you can actually see me in the presser.....have been from day one yet there are folk I’ve posted to for over 4 years DAILY
who take liberties and call us kooks, birthers, and losers.
F em.....
and second....when FR can harbor asshats like Humblegunner
well, that is F’d up like a soup sammich
This freeper takes no guff and this freeper ain’t supportin a web site than defends Humblegunner
Lastly, I offered a world wide computer savant to FR and Jim via email and the cost ?...a simple phone call....what did I get...bupkiss
oh and that savant ?....his name was mentioned in the Sheriff Joe presser....
it’s a shame but if one doesn’t stand for sumpthin,he ain’t no man
“they moved it to 10AM...ugh. Guess Ill have to catch it later in the day.”
I’m on central time and here are all the airings for FNS - 9 am on regular Fox; 1 pm, 5 pm, sometimes 8 pm, and 1 am, all on Fox News Channel. FYI - Meet the Press is on here at 9 am on regular NBC; 1 pm and 1 am, both on MSNBC.
This is strange. It’s sad too if this is what’s going on here.
Thanks for the heads up.
Well said, ag.
I just hope you may change your mind about posting as your views and info is valuable.
