I understand the plurality argument, but I doubt it will matter if Obama wins. It might impact a Romney win given the MSM bias.

I’m not sure a non-plural win for Obama would convince the GOP-E of anything. A non-plural for Romney would be taken as a “great achievement” regardless of how idiotic the interpretation. Ultimately, non-plurality will be spun to insignificance. The focus will be on signing authority which cares naught for plurality.

Some of us are dealing with decisions larger and more personal than your obsession with the anti-Christian, anti-conservative, anti-American guy Romney, winning over Obama.

My vote and who I am, transcends your personal interests, or level of knowledge, or whatever, to me.

I know things that you do not, I have personal commitments that you cannot know, I vote, but there are things that I will not vote for, will not support, people that I cannot lend my name to, my moral support to, or anything from me to.

Presidential elections are very important, but there is more going on than your agenda to get Bishop Romney into office.

While I understand the arguments about Obama versus Mitt Romney, I am a free man, and my vote means nothing if I always feel forced to choose between those two, I do get to make a choice of my own, or else voting means nothing, at least to me.

In this case both men are such, that I cannot support either.

Well, indulge your doubts, but in my analysis, it's not only the best bet, it's literally the only option open for me as I refuse to vote for Romney because to do so would be to vote against my own interests both morally and politically.

Here's the thing about MSM bias. A bridge made of balsawood, no matter how sturdy and real the illusion appears, is still fake in the real world. The MSM creates the illusion that these Democrats are popular and that conservatives are the minority, but it is just like that balsa-wood bridge: fake, therefore inevitably subject to reality. You can hear it by listening in on conversations of liberal/Democrat friends/family when they talk about how disgusted they are with Obama, and you can see it when you read the reader comments after pro-Obama stories on MSM news sites.

The MSM can ignore it all they want and hocus-pocus the illusion that such dissent is the minority, but the reality is that most Americans loathe liberalism and loathe Obama. We are seeing now the inevitable results of a minority seizing power over a majority. Only this time there's a fractal component, because in our own Republican party, with Romney a liberal minority has also seized power over a conservative majority.

I believe our system is enough still intact that indeed, a plurality lack-of-mandate for the president matters no matter WHO it involves. Clinton was relatively popular, he was a blank slate because he was new, he had the MSM staunchly on his side, and he was elected by a 43% plurality where 57% voted against him; he clearly lacked a mandate. And in the mid-terms, he got his ass kicked by the Republican Revolution. Even with the MSM and general popularity on his side, that lack of mandate still hurt him. The Republican Revolution would probably never have happened if he'd won with a majority or if HWB had been re-elected.
