Urban Decay: When more Americans are killed in the president's hometown than in Afghanistan, even the media take notice. When will the president notice the carnage in the city run by his former chief of staff?
People are dying fast and furiously in Chicago, so much so that it caught the CBS eye and prompted "Evening News" anchor Scott Pelley to sit down Monday night with Rahm Emanuel, President Obama's former chief of staff and mayor of this monument to progressive decay, and ask a very pertinent question.
"I got a letter from a viewer the other day who asked us why we were spending so much time at 'The Evening News' covering Afghanistan when more people were dying in Chicago," Pelley said. "Why is the murder rate up 30%?"
Pelley put the number of murders in Chicago at 275 so far this year. On Monday alone, nine young people were shot in suspected gang-related violence, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
Emanuel responded that crimes such as burglary, armed robbery and theft are down 10%. This is true, but it's small comfort to the parents of Heaven Sutton, 7, who was killed as she tried to dodge bullets fired from the guns of gangbangers. She was selling snow cones at the time.
Heaven didn't get quite the attention of Trayvon Martin, the Florida teenager killed by neighborhood watch member George Zimmerman. When perceived racism can be invoked as a cause of death, headlines blare. When it happens in a city beset by liberalism's failures, crickets chirp.

Hey, a record is still a record, and Chicago has several records for violence which will never be touched by lesser cities.
Fortunately, with the sort of concern for constitutional freedoms demonstrated by the president, the Democratic machine in Chicago has managed to insure that the Second Amendment to the Bill of Rights is ignored such that firearms are illegal there, so no one can defend against the violence that has rendered Chicago a winner in the Mayhem Department.
You know, I really don't like liberals and I surely don't want to stick up for them here, but there are many other liberal bastions where these problems are minor compared to Chicago, Detroit, Oakland and the like.

They remove all mention of God and values from society then they wonder why kids grew up without values or a fear of God. Unintended consequences of a Godless society.

The carnage in Chicago is an example of why we need to ban guns in this country as they would explain it.
As a good Wisconsinite who has watched Chicago go through this slow motion self immolation, I can only think of the biblical tale of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Just make sure they serve Skittles and ice tea everyday in every school — that’ll keep them content.

Oh well, at least he said what he meant and meant what he said, and made things happen, good or bad. Rahm, on the other hand...well, what can you say? One last thing, Al Capone flourished, along with the city of Chicago, when it last had a Republican mayor. Yep, it’s been over 80 years. And look what’s become of the second city, might as well be the last city, well, I guess that’s what its become.
If the child had been killed by a white person every poverty pimp and New York Times reporter would be johnney on the spot. And they'd be calling for blood.

His methods are facist and anti-individual. NYC at the time needed a facist....and seeing as how the dims had made NYC a cross between Marxism and Facism already, it was no great shakes to have him clean the city in his own inimitable style.
