Pleased be advised that in the professional opinion of my 100-year-old uncle, a practicing physician, Sean Hannity’s brain serves primarily as a life-support system for his hair.

See? Why would Sean like it here? Hs IQ is not within his control. However dumb you feel he is, look what he has done with his life!! Bravo to Sean. And again, I’m not really a listener or watcher, no time right now and I listen to a different show at noon. But I am glad Hannity is on our side.

"Not many people work as hard in the public eye for conservatism. And Sean has brought things into the public eye, on tv, that NO ONE ELSE DARED TO. Like Rev Wright, Khalidi, so many things. On FR he is slammed for his IQ more than praised for his hard work and consistency. Me, I’m glad he is on our team."

Exactly. People forget and get flipped out and carried away with some self serving, dumbbutt comments from some unkown on a obscure site. Time for decaf..

I agree with you about Sean. He serves a valuable role -- a lot of people that are "on the fence" or maybe never thought much at all about politics and what is happening in our country can more easily relate to his style and manner. (And as you pointed out, he is doing a LOT to vet zero for 2012.) Some folks may not be able to handle Mark Levin's strident style or may shy away from Rush because of his "reputation."

Sure, some may call Sean "weak tea" but not everyone is ready for the "hard stuff" when they are just getting on board. If Sean can attract in a lot of new folks to conservative ideas and principles, more power to him, we all benefit in the long run.

I largely agree with you Yaelle.

Still you gotta admit the hair life-support joke is pretty good...especially for Eddie Munster Hannity lol!

I can’t tell if that’s a legal threat or not.

Is that supposed to be English?

It's english if you're drunk on your butt at 12:22 a.m.

It was intended to be illustrative. Note that the value is estimated.

My estimated value of FR is...priceless!

Hi! Don’t be scared. There are worse things down thread that I’ve posted.

Other than being frightened, how are you today?

I've been around almost from the beginning and remember key events exactly as you describe them.

Likewise, I do not recall your ever being mean to Sean Hannity. Moreover, the positions attributed to Sean in the article do not ring true - except perhaps as an anti-Freeper's wishful thinking.

Thank you so much for recounting the history of Free Republic and thank you for keeping her going all this time, a place for like-minded political activists. It would have been easy to be a "me too" bbs, forum or blog.

If any Freeper out there wants to curtail or even end the Freepathon method of fundraising, the best solution is to become a monthly donor.

Either that or we could take a shot at funding it via commercial advertising. I’d rather not go that route though, if we can possibly prevent it. I think it would change the entire purpose and nature of FR.

We are the customers and should pay for it. If we don’t, that tells you that you have no real customers..............

Whew... That’s two sloppy, childish rants in one week from “TBL” members who have a disturbing obsession with FR.
I see “TBL” membership is up to 559. Pretty soon they may hit 600, and then 650. They are shooting for the stars!

In fourteen years of FReeping, I can think of no other single poster more conniving, narcissistic, intellectually dishonest, and sanctimonious than Quix.

You left out boring as hell. ;0)

If Obama switched parties today, Hannity would sing his praises from the rooftops tonight. Hannity always reminds me of the Communists who fought vehemently against US involvement in WW2 until the Germans invaded The USSR and then they immediately demanded US get involved in the war.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Hannity switches sides one day and becomes a radical Democrat.

Precisely. I came to this site a couple of years ago as a naive black kid who didn’t know anything except that I was conservative. I was welcomed by all with open arms. So I think this guy is full of it. If this site was run by Gestapo etc then I would have never got in much less been welcomed. I had and have weird, strange views as well and have never been “zotted”. Just because we as Freepers have a few issues with Romney doesn’t mean we wont vote for him. And just because we have issues with Romney doesn’t mean we will vote for Nobama. This site has been a wealth of knowledge and sublime conservative opinion....it gets my vote and my money forever.

So thanks Jim...you’ve got one supporter here!
