MOBILE, Alabama -- The fatal gun shot that cut down a single mother of two Saturday night occurred in front of her teenage daughter, family members said today.
The daughter, who asked that her name not be used, said she was standing in her front yard when her mother, Wendy Fisher, ran across the street to retrieve their dog.
Fisher yelled at a passing car to slow down because it nearly hit the pet, the daughter said. At that point a black man with short hair got out of the car, she said.
The daughter said she is not sure if he or one of the two or three other men inside the vehicle fired 3 shots. The man who exited the car was wearing blue jeans and a light T-shirt, she said.

I have seen one I went to from a link but I did not bookmark it. A search might turn it up. I remember it had the story about the young couple in Tennesee (I think) who were tortured and murdered by a gang of Holder’s people.
NOBODY knows what ANYBODY thought....the evidence backs Zimmerman.
NOBODY knows what ANYBODY thought....the evidence backs Zimmerman.
NOBODY knows what ANYBODY thought....the evidence backs Zimmerman.
“Nobody knows....”
Exactly. That is why it is imperative that to stay out of jail one must act in such a way that there is no doubt about what you are doing.
Zimmerman put himself in a position that leaves too much unch uncertainty.
Not everytime, but too many times, when there is doubt the shooter will end up in court.
So now he is at the mercy of a DA that craves public attention and a very tough judge.
Around the end of WWII there was a local case where a huge guy was beating the crap out of a guy who was about half his weight. The difference was something like 140 lbs against 250.
The litle guy pulled a pistol and shot the big guy. I can’t remember if he killed him. Too long ago.
But I do remember that the shooter got a really stiff sentence....years in prison.
And the judge ripped him up one side and down the other during his sentencing. Among other things, called him a coward, afraid to fight.
Smart people try hard to avoid trouble. Dumb go looking for it....unless they are cops.
Zimmerman is proof of that for all but the stupid to see.
Whether he was legal or not his life is ruined. If he stays out of jail he will be in civil court for years and in civil court the plaintiff has a lot more freedom in what he can claim than the DA has in criminal court.
Have you taken the NRA concealed carry course?
There is the law of common sense.
He had no business approaching a stranger at night.
Huh?
Show me the law on that one.
We have two cases before us which clearly illustrate the dangers.
Wendy and Ziummerman.
Really, don’t you think that one must be a little thick to miss the significance of these cases?
What if Zimmerman had been an undercover agent or an off duty policeman ? What do cops do to you when you punch them in the face, and start going MMA on them?
Why didn't Martin stay home once he got there? He had lost Zimmerman, why go back and sneak up on him, instead of calling the cops on 911 ?????
Police is the last thing Tray wanted around I’d think. He’d apparently been smoking pot.
What if Zimmerman had been an undercover agent or an off duty policeman ? What do cops do to you when you punch them in the face, and start going MMA on them?
You would be surprised to find out how many undercover cops like uniformed back up just to avoid the kind of thing you describe.
But even so, you miss the point entirely.
Cops have badges. They clearly state that they are the police. In the majority of cases that defuses the situation because the person being approached by the cop does not expect to be robbed, mugged or murdered.
It is easier to stay out of trouble than it is to get out of trouble.
Zimmerman and Wendy are prime examples of that. The unfortunate thing about her is that hers was not premeditated but was a situation where she blew off steam because she was excited, agitated and fearful for her dog.
A terrible shame, but still an example of what can happen when you push it with bad people.
Well... we will see.
Cops have badges. They clearly state that they are the police.
Well... not in FLORIDA.
Outrage as police shoot and kill the wrong man in hunt for attempted murder suspect....
"An innocent man was shot dead by police after deputies mistook him for an attempted murder suspect. Lake County, Florida officers showed up at the Blueberry Hill apartment of Andrew Scott at around 1.30am on Sunday Roused from his bed in the middle of the night by an unknown presence at his property, Andrew Scott answered the door holding a gun. Officers had not announced who they were because they did not want the man they thought was inside, Jonathan Brown, to escape."
Now... what were you saying ?
It wasn't at night, and he didnt' say a word to him.
WHAT SHOULD HE HAVE DONE DIFFERENT, in your EXPERT RECOMMENDATION?
That's brandishing.
You have no expectation of being left alone when in public.
You point a gun at me for approaching you in a public place, and you'd be in jail, or dead.
Definitely outrageous.
And happening too often, Somehow it must be changed...no-knock should be outlawed.
But that said you are statistically much more likely to be killed by some slimeball you pissed off than by a cop in the middle of the night no-knock.
o the larger point is:
You can not prevent some idiot no-knock, but you most certainly can learn to keep your mouth shut in public so as to avoid the bad guy who is walking around with a chip on his shoulder just looking for someone to “dis” him so he can cut or shoot him.
There are a thousand of them for every bad or stupid cop.
Bad deal.
But this event and your post have absolutely nothing to do with anything being discussed here.
Except that it makes the same point I made in my other post.
That is that there are some things that we can not predict and probably can not avoid if we lead normal lives.
But you can learn to keep your mouth shut when in the presence of strangers thereby reducing your chances of pissing off some guy who is looking for someone to fight.
Its called commonsense..close kin to good manners.
So... Martin should have stayed home once he got there and called the POLICE, instead of going back out and sneaking up on Zimmerman ?
Correct?
