Their owner was a Christian I believe and always closed on Sundays as they still do. Wonderful for them. And look at their businesses. They are always full of customers. They are living right and thus getting God’s blessings for doing so.
Their owner *is* a Christian, Mr. Truett Cathy. The company is privately held.
They also go out of their way to hire clean young people who typically look like they’re working fast food because they’re college bound...a nice change from the typical fast food worker.
And anyone who has never gotten a box of chick-n-minis and some honey mustard there is doing themselves a grave disservice. Chick-n-minis 4 life.
We grew up with stores closing on Sunday. Didn’t hurt us OR them a bit. People KNEW they were closed and so they got what they needed to have for their weekends. No big deal.
Forbes reported that the owner is a "devout Baptist" and insists that all his restaurants close on Sunday to give an opportunity to all employees who want to, to attend church and he also believes in all of the commandments.
In the same edition, Forbes also reported that he was losing $500,000,000 per year by closing on Sunday. That shows you how much Forbes knows, he isn't losing anything but gaining much.
