"Insurers don't like the new restrictions and consumer protections, so they will be working behind the scenes to get them stripped out by Congress," while funding Republicans who would ease coverage rules, says Wendell Potter, ex-spokesman for insurer Cigna Corp. and an industry critic.

"But rest assured, they will keep the individual mandate in place, despite what they say publicly," he added. To keep insurance costs from rising even faster, Republican leaders "know that the mandate is necessary."

We can expect President Obama's court-tested health-care reforms — which shift payment for uninsured people's health care from hospitals to taxpayers — will also go on, even if Republican Mitt Romney is elected President.

BOVINE EXCREMENT!

That is "SURRENDER MONKEY--or McConnell/Boner--SPEAK!"

It will ONLY "Go on" if our mealy-mouthed, linguini-spine, Establishment-Elitist, wuss, RINO, elected Reps "ALLOW IT" to go on.

It is up to us to (try) and get some REAL Conservatives elected to Congress, while tossing out as many of the phony, pretend Republi-Tards out and hold their feet to the fire.

IF after Mittens has vowed (repeatedly) that he will move to repeal Obamacare and he reneges, he would KNOW that, that would doom any chance he might have at serving another term, so provided we can take back the Senate and keep the House (AND LIGHT A MAJOR FIRE under their butts with demonstrations, threats--figurative, not literal-- ect,) we just might have a chance at rolling his back.

Are Wednesdays now “Beat On Romney Day” too?

I thought that was just Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Yes, yes! I just can’t wait for Obamacare! Just like other efficient and successful government agencies like the Dept of Education or the Dept of Energy. Healthcare will cost less, or be absolutley free. You will have infinitely more access to doctors and hospitals, as well as more say-so about your own treatment. And best of all, it will reduce our national debt!

The difference between Medicare and Social Security on one hand, and ObamaCare on the other, is that the first two were passed and implemented at times when the Democrats had preponderant majorities and wide public support, and could stay in place long enough to become part of the political background landscape.

ObamaCare, on the other hand, was widely opposed by the public but was nevertheless foisted off onto us when the Democrats only had a precarious majority (which they then lost, in the House).

The author widely misreads the circumstances.

Nevertheless, he’s probably right about Romney not doing anything about ObamaCare. After yesterday’s story about the Romney campaign starting to walk back its efforts against socialised medicine, I’d imagine we ARE going to get stuck with it, regardless of who gets elected in November.

Probably right. It’s like choosing between the Riddler and the Joker. The costumes and makeup change, but Gotham is overrun with hoodlums. Business will still be shaken down and gambling will still go on in the backrooms and citizens will still cower.

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder is all for it. (as well as windmills and high speed rail) On top of that the pathetic piece of crap vetoed a bill that would require us to verify (Check a box) that we’re an American citizen. That frees up all the resident aliens for voting. He also vetoed a bill requiring canvassers to be legal and trained.

What’s that they say about learning about a man by learning about his friends?

Why waste our time to vote at all?

If we don’t vote for Romney, Obama gets back in.

If we vote for Romney we get Romney, who so m,any in here say is just as bad.

There is only one solution and I will bet those here who hate Romney haven’t got the balls for it.

Take America back by force.

You Romney haters put up or shut up.
Arm yourselves and start the revolution or get out of the way.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from
the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
- Joseph Goebbels

Acceptance of ObamaCare is a lie, but the media is attempting to make it true. If the American people seem to have accepted the death of American freedom, then they hope Romney (if he wins) or the republican Congress (if the usurper wins but we take the Senate) will not try to repeal ObamaCare. We simply have to be persistent, vocal, and honest. The one thing that stops liberalism is for ordinary people to tell the truth loudly and repeatedly, instead of backing down as we are told that “most” people disagree or that we are “denying reality”.

after the repeal of Obamacare there are some reforms needed, no question. The system we had was working but too expensive. Some fixing in order, but not a dismantling as Obamacare does.

Pure propaganda. Social Security and Medicare did not take away good benefits. Obamacare takes peoples good benefits and gives them crap.

0-care is unsustainable and over the long run, even if implemented to some degree. The price controls alone will result in ever increasing provider attrition. Some providers will go to cash only practices, and while others will migrate over to hospital systems as employees, where they will be less productive. Hospitals too will be starved of cash by low reimbursements which will lead to less care and longer waits. As patients find that they cannot receive timely and quality care, they will increasingly seek out private, self pay care. Prices and quality in the self pay, private sector may indeed be so good, that hospitals and insurance companies will seek to make separate contracts with these entities to boost efficiency and lower costs.
