As much as I wanted Obamacare reversed, I am glad that Roberts allowed it thru.

It is now the #2 campaign issue (after the economy) going into the final five months. And it has totally fired up the conservative base!

I am so looking forward to November.

The ruling has apparently given Obama a boost in the polls. And the proof of that is Willard isn't talking about it.

No, its all bad.

Even if you are correct and this decision helps defeat Obama in November (and that is arguable - people love a winner), the price is too high. Roberts has created a fearsome weapon that can be used by any future authoritarian in the US., We will have to fight this war at every election. The would be dictators can now use a tax to compel any behavior and destroy any opponent.

I am not looking forward to November at all. 0bama will win handily, The Republicans will lose 2-3 seats in the senate and 5-10 house seats. Now the 0bamaCare is the law of the land, the mushy middle are warming up to it and coming back home in droves to 0bama. All the while the GOP has no answer.

As Rush said today, there is no silver lining in this. 0bama won, the country lost. Sadly only conservatives realize this. Independents are moving in droves to 0bama now.

It’s all over. In 2 years we will be a full blown Socialist nation and all be out of our jobs and our homes. The union is destroyed.

I can’t imagine a better way to fire up the base and even those who are moderate but not stupid. We will even have a few old time (JFK type) dem voters see that this is wrong. The other dictatorial things Hussein has done added with last Thursday’s absurd ruling may just tip the scales our way even farther than before.

I also cannot wait to vote. Everyone I talk to is the same way. We are more outraged than when DeathCare was rammed through 2 years ago, and we all know what that did to the 2010 elections.

Here in WI, we elected Scott Walker as our governor. We also got rid of “lifer” (he thought) Sen.Russ Feingold and got grassroots TEA Party man Sen. Ron Johnson. We also took over the state legislature. It was a “shellacking” here in WI. If Mitt picks our Congressman Paul Ryan as VP, I believe we will win WI and in a few years, Paul Ryan will make a spectacular president.

cheers

Even if this does result in a short term political gain, it is a huge long term loss for the freedom of our country. If a punitive fine can be levied on inaction on the basis of taxing powers, the Feds have the power to regulate your everyday activities, not just business/economic activities. Dumping the expansive interpretation of the Commerce Claus for this seems like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.
