Later that week Assad ordered his army to open fire on innocent protesters.

To date opposition groups claim more than 14,000 people have been killed since the uprising against President Bashar Assad’s authoritarian rule began in March 2011.
This weekend Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made clear that President Bashar al-Assad “will have to go.”

The “smartest woman in the world” was something she has spent a life time saying about herself, as she popped up and popped off, to be seen openly competing with her husband, pushing him on healthcare, foreign policy in Bosnia and countless other I-know-best occasions.
The term, “smart power” was the label she licks and stamps on everything, and the crux of her introductory speech she gave to all her new minions at State, on the day she arrived. “Smart power” dots her language even today on the smallest of power plays, today, when the world she has shaped with coersion on abortion is falling apart.
Hillary and Bill should have never been more than tourists to the White House. Not on brains anyway.

I seem to recall that SanFranNan made a trip to Syria to cuddle up with Assad. She was reportedly heartbroken when he didn’t have time to schmooze with her.

Well of course you’re right, but it seems to have been with the speed of light since the Clintons, something like demise on speed dial, particularly the social and cultural implosion.
Wonder if her husband had to marry her before he could see her ?
Innocent protesters, foreign fighters, po-tay-toe, po-tah-toe. How about innocent people killed by foreign agitators who make it look like the gov’t they want to overthrow did it? How about invading a country’s airspace to provoke a response and then claiming your innocence?
