Consumer penalties: Part of the controversy surrounding health care reform was that the law would mandate coverage for all Americans on pain of penalties. Those penalties will be tiered and rise over a three-year period that kicks off in 2014, according to the National Association of Consumer Protection:
2014: Families$285 or 1 percent of total household income, whichever is greater. Individual adults$95. 2015: Families$975 or 2 percent of income, whichever is greater. Individual adults$325. 2016: Families$2,085 or 2.5 percent of income, whichever is greater. Individual adults$695.

$2,085.00 or 2.5% of income , whichever is greater.
Healthcare prices are going to SKYROCKET......
Everyone wbo voted for Obama desrvres to be fined.
Given those kinds of fines , Insurance costs will rise to met them.
Does any of this apply to Expats who no longer live in the USSA?
The welfare mother with six kids with six different last names: Who pays her premium?
The newly arrived immigrant (both legal and illegal) without a dime on them: Who pays?
I thought the fine was $600 bucks or something.
Oh well....
Sick and tired of my government.
The jails are going to be full of healthy people.
We will pay our fines, their fines, our insurance and their insurance.
And they will call us fascists the whole time.
Time to abandon this failed experiment in liberty.
Maybe I should know but I don't. What's a surplus investment? |
“Most” Americans will pay the premiums of those people. No idea who “most” Americans are, but I heard it all day at the top of each hour on radio, and Laura Ingraham said it tonight, that ObamaCare requires “most” Americans to purchase health insurance. “Most”? WTF is this “most” sh!t?
I would sure like some to look into what exactly “most” means. For whatever reason, I have a 100% certainly that I am included in the “most” category. (How could it be any other way?) But who else is a “most” and, more importantly, who are lucky non-”most” SOBs?
Do taxes apply to expats?
Correction:
Everyone who voted for Obama deserves to be fired.
Those costs are notoriously low. Rationing and inferior health care await.
75 yrs old and need a Heart valve, too bad you get asprine. Need a kidney , nope
no chance.
The additional taxes will kill the economy. No vacation get-a-ways, inferior
clothing cheaper cars
With the expiration of the Bush’ tax cuts look for a double whammy.
-no jobs- nothing but a depression.
Oh, ye 53% destroyed our country and you’re too ignorant to grasp what you did.
>>>Does any of this apply to Expats who no longer live in the USSA?
I hope not because I’m a expat and next year hopefully, won’t have to file another tax return since I will have been out of the country for over a year and have no US salary. I pay taxes to the local government. I don’t want to pay for something that I will have to fly back to the US to use.
Pay the least you legally can and then use the system for every ache and pain until it collapses.
Yes they sure are; the article does point that out. Ben Dover, here it cometh . . .
