I disagree. The SCOTUS decision will mobilize people to work for Obama’s defeat. Older citizens don’t like it, and they vote in large numbers. The medical profession doesn’t like it, and they have considerable influence. Small business doesn’t like it. People who don’t want their taxes going up don’t like it. It’s a loser on many levels.
OK, now be reasonable.

I hate to say it but that was just one of Mitt’s finest moments. He looked and sounded Presidential. I just hope he really means it.
Given that a) “Repeal and Replace” has been a drumbeat for years now by many different Republicans, and b) Romney hasn’t put forth a specific plan other than “grant all 50 states Obamacare waivers”, I don’t think it’s fair to say we know what Romney intends.

I'm unclear as to what you mean by this. Are you suggesting Obama engineered Romney to be his opponent for this issue?
Besides, durning the campainigning in 2010 election, Republican candidate after candidate pledged that their first offical act, should they be elected would be to repeal obamacare.I think they tried but they were frustrated at every turn bty the Establishment Republicans and obamacare is still with us. The Speaker of the House, a Republican, knew full well a new budget would have to be presented before obamacare could be defunded, therefore, he worked with the Democrats to keep continuing resolutions in place,thus preventing obamacare from being defunded.
If you thik that the Republican Party wants obamacare repealed, you are barking up the wrong tree. They will use it as a campaign issue but that is as far as it goes.
I heard a soundbite on the radio (I'm in Boston) of MA AG Martha "Marcia" Coakley saying the decision twice cited RomneyCare favorably, and "Massachusetts (read: RomneyCare) is vindicated!" :(
went to his website, then to donate, put my info in and it said temporarily shutdown, his website is up but not donation site.
seems to me that a whole bunch of 'conservative' tea party house members said something similar to get elected too...
i guess hes going to just E.O. it out of existence, now that the infrastructure has been in place, and continues to build everyday ???
or maybe, we'll get supermajorities in both bodies of CONgress and they wont flinch at being too partisan in the passing of deprivation of birth control ???

I don’t see how the Republic is dead because of one stupid Supreme Court decision. We’ve put too much importance on this one legal decision. Conservatives will survive, and probably thrive. No point in arguing with each other over this.

OK. To use the word "opponent" you need to be able to prove that RomneyCare was verifiable as "oppositional" to ObamaCare.
Otherwise, please don't try to suddenly draw "distinctions" tween one socialist healthcare plan from another...
(That's like trying trying to draw distinctions between a suction abortion that dismembers a three-month pre-born vs. a partial-birth abortion that sucks the brains pre-birth canal delivery...with both you wind up with deceased offspring)
