Obviously I support Zimmerman but it doesn't mean I implicitly trust the police, their gee-whiz toys or categorical declarations based on the former or the latter.

This polygraph, the jailhouse conversations regarding money with the missus, the second passport, the failure to disclose $200k in internet donations....

All make George look bad.

VSAs are very reliable. Still can’t be used in court, but better than polys.

Results from those things will always raise a skeptical eyebrow with me. I failed one during a job application once and I know for damn sure I wasn't lying. I stupidly agreed to one a few years later for a different job and the guy said I was "iffy" but he was going to pass me because my responses were "all over the place" and what he was seeing "didn't make sense". Nope. Never again. No one can read what's going on in someone else's head.
