INDIANAPOLIS -- A man's attempt to bring the ashes of his grandfather home to Indianapolis ended with an angry scene in a Florida airport, with the ashes spilled on the terminal floor.

No, I've never seen such a site yet. However, here is the ruling on headrests.
Re your post #3, I agree. My last flight was in October 2000. I refuse to be treated as a member of a herd of cattle, cattle which are accorded no respect or dignity.
Screw ‘em.
Bush Jr CREATED DHS by Executive Order 13228 of October 8, 2001.
I read not too long ago that those “heat packs” relieve back pain when seated on long trips.

Third issue: Judging by the negative comments against the dolt at TSA, it would seem that your opinion is in the minority here. What are you? Some big government lackey? Do you think it's funny when an incompetant TSA monkey damages a passengers personal property and laughs at him?
Fourth issue: Since this "anonymous" Indiana TV channel is not to your lofty standards, why don't you tell all FReepers exactly which news sources should be posted. Otherwise, read the source before you click the link and move to the next posted article.
WooHoo my ass.
No, it's not racist. It just shows you prefer a different kind of security theater than what they're serving up.
guys named Abdul, Mohammed, or Ackbar or Richard Reid?
“Mom...”
Thanks for the levity - it helps...
"Can you read and write?"
Well, not so good, but I'm working on my GED.
"What is your definition of using Common Sense?"
Ah, is that where everyone smells the same?
"Can you spell Logic?"
Duh, do I really have to?
"Do you know who your Mother is/was?"
Not really, but I know the names of all my inbred cousins.
"Do you have any problems hassling and groping little old ladies, children on crutches or nuns in wheelchairs?"
Hell no; that sounds like fun!
Good, you passed with flying color and welcome to the "Thousands Standing Around!"
Another TSA idiot....
You don't actually know that for sure.

I did too. And noticed that it's all from a guy who "wants nothing more than an apology." A fool.

The truth is not derived by popular vote. It's called security theater. It's not funny. It's just another bureaucracy run amok. So the press plays heartstrings and riles people up and nothing comes of it.

I just don't swallow everything anonymous "reporters" feed me.
Take your own advice, pal. If my posts don't adhere to your low standards, then skip over the "Reply" button. If you can resist. LOL.
I can’t believe they treated an Obama voter with such disdain!
Roger that; I quit in ‘96 after TWA-800. If I can’t walk or drive, I ain’t going.
My wife has some of her mother’s ashes. She says there are a lot of places she’d like to take them for partial distribution, but is afraid that if she goes through TSA with a powder, it will cause no end of grief. This story shows that perhaps she’s right.
It's apparently not just me. Looking around the internet, I found numerous sites with years worth of complaints about all manufacturers and these damn mandated headrests causing pain (front seats) and accidents (can't see past the backseat headrests).
For our own good, doncha know...
I know a doctor here in Alabama, who was a reserve Army Colonel, medical corps, (now medically retired) who was blown up by an IED in Iraq while on convoy. He now has a metal plate in his head and various other ceramic, plastic and metal body parts.
He told me that every time, EVERY time he flies he sets off the metal detectors and TSA agents scurry ‘round him in frenzied happiness that they have a “live” one. He has a letter and other official documents explaining his situation but it doesn’t matter. He always gets the full pat down and extra scrutiny. They call their coworkers over to help, using it as a training moment, and really make a spectacle of this national hero. The smaller the airport, the more the complete workover. At Atlanta Hartsfield, for example, it’s much more routine; just the full pat down. He told me he was going through Rochester NY and they acted like he was Osama himself.
It’s so shamefull. I can’t understand how we put up with it, yet we do.
Just my opinion, but I'd rather live with that chance than suffer the humiliation and loss of freedom that the TSA has brought us.
Take a boat. Relax. Enjoy the journey.
I don't have enough time to do that. I manage to finagle a month off from work because I don't take time off any other time and never miss a day. But a month is all i get after 2-3 years that I can stretch to 5 weeks because of missing a flight or something.
These TSA abuse stories are a golden opportunity for the GOPe and Romney to win voters and influence opinion...or lose voters and make it worse. Experience makes me cynical.
