At this point even those who have never heard of the Gulf of Tonkin know where this is headed:
- SYRIAN ACT 'WON'T GO UNPUNISHED,' TURKEY'S ARINC SAYS
- SYRIAN ACT 'HOSTILE,' 'COLD-BLOODED,' ARINC SAYS
- SYRIA SHOT DOWN TURKISH JET WITHOUT WARNING, NULAND SAYS
- TURKEY INVOKED ARTICLES 4 & 5 FOR NATO MEETING, ARINC SAYS
- TURKEY TO PROCEED AGAINST SYRIA USING LEGAL RIGHTS, ARINC SAYS
- TURKISH JET SHOT DOWN IN INTERNATIONAL AIRSPACE, ARINC SAYS
And yet:
- TURKISH JET 'MISTAKENLY' ENTERED SYRIAN AIRSPACE, ARINC SAYS
- TURKISH JET WAS IN SYRIAN AIRSPACE ONLY 5 MINUTES, ARINC SAYS
Just the tip, eh?
And finally this, which makes it all too clear what Hillary Clinton's endgame here is:
- Turkish deputy PM says Syria has also fired on a Turkish search-and-rescue plane -AP
And from Reuters:
Turkey said on Monday that Syrian forces had fired at a second Turkish plane which was searching for an F-4 reconnaissance jet shot down by Syria last week, but the second plane was not brought down.
Deputy prime minister Bulent Arinc told a news conference that Turkey would protect itself, within the framework of international law, against what it called Syria's "hostile action" of downing its warplane last week.
He said at the end of a seven-hour cabinet meeting on the incident that Syria's downing of the reconnaissance jet would not go unpunished.
Was that jet over Syrian airspace for "only 5 minutes" too?

So an univited Turkish intrusion into Syrian airspace is okay but Syria protecting themselves from NATO when NATO’s been threatening them is wrong.
Why does this look like Yugoslavia all over again?

If Hillary thinks the Russians are going to buy this drivel, she is as stupid as she looks.

Could become real interesting if Turkey thinks their air power is superior, then goes into Syria and gets the crap knocked out of them, by no less than Russian pilots.

NATO to Hold Urgent Meeting on Syria LONDON - Turkey is asking its NATO allies for a tough response to Syria's downing of one of its aircraft on Friday. Turkish Prime Minister Bulent Arinc says that at a hastily-arranged NATO meeting Tuesday, his country will ask that the shootdown be considered an attack on the entire alliance. That conclusion could trigger a joint military response. But experts do not expect Tuesday's meeting to actually lead to war.

Turkey has been building up its army for years while modernizing and building up its economy. Syria may have the WMDs from Iraq.
This could get bad, fast. Especially if Syria’s Assad wants a war to stop the civil war in his country.

Syria has its own chemical and biological WMD. They have been making their own for years. WMD from Iraq are immaterial. Syria acquired its WMD as a counter to Israeli Nuclear WMD.
Putin is meeting with the leader of Israel today.

Other than the possibility of this conflict dragging in outside countries a la WWI, I’m not sure why letting these two countries duke it out is a bad thing. Syria is owned by the hardcore muzzies, and Turkey has been slipping back into muzzie insanity for years now. Besides, without external intervention either way, my money would be on Turkey, and I would shed no tears for Syria. Anyone want to set me straight?

Israel cannot allow Syria to become another Muslim Brotherhood run country, since Egypt was just lost to the Muslim Brotherhood thanks to Obama/Hillary and the US State of Idiots Department. Russia cannot afford to lose its only Mediterranean seaport. Russia and Israel are going all in. Syria and Turkey are immaterial. Bigger powers at play here.
In other words, Hillary has run out of reset buttons.

I can’t think of two nicer groups to be at each others’ throats.

Replace word “Syria” with “Israel” and you will see what will happen in near future.
Turkey is dangerous.
