First, a presidential election is decided by five people, who don't even try to explain their choice in normal legal terms.

Anyone who claims that Bush v. Gore in 2000 was a 5-4 decision is either lying or ignorant. The real decision that Florida had to follow its own election laws (and especially no recount cherry picking in Democratic counties) was 7-2. The follow on 5-4 decision said that Florida had wasted so much time doing the recount illegally they didn't have the time to redo a legal recount completely before the due date so had to stick with their original results.

End of the line, Jimmy. We didn't pick that fight. You did. Your boy chose to take it to court. He was warned his chances were slim to none. He was warned he'd look like a sore loser, and accordingly branded for life. That's what you got.
