Ed Koch, the mercurial former New York mayor and Jewish community figure who was helpful to George W. Bush in places like Florida in the 2004 presidential race, sees "change" by President Obama, who he was slow to support, on the subject of Israel.
"Going to foreign affairs and Israel in particular, where I am very concerned that I think Israel is in great danger, where I thought the president was not giving enough attention," Koch told WABC radio's Aaron Klein. "Hes changed. And I believe I had something to do with the change."

President Barack Obama on Sunday called Egypt's president-elect, Mohammed Morsi, to congratulate him on his victory and offer continued U.S. support for Egypt's transition to democracy....
What a fool Ed Koch is.
Exactly, he didn’t “change” anything, he just got conned by a second-rate con man.
Koch is the con man. It’s his modus operandi. For the last thirty years Koch will tease the masses with some conservative leaning views, but when it counts he lines up lock stock and barrel for the Left. He never fails at this. In 2010 when he endorsed Turner, I knew by now he would be back full tilt for Obama. Never believe Koch for one second when something conservative comes from his lips. Remember, he doesn’t mean it.
Ed Koch is a disgrace; a total political whore.
If he had a brain, he’d be dangerous.
You folks are all correct: Koch is an evil, demented buffoon. Yes, he’ll blast obama for his stance on Israel and then he’ll turn around and support him. I wish he would fade away from the public stage.
It’s probably more accurate to say he helped Obama pretend to change his position until after the 2012 election.
He has a mind like a steel trap... all rusted closed.
“Hes changed. And I believe I had something to do with the change.”
