There's an arsonist loose near Woodland Park, CO, about 45 miles to the west of Colorado Springs, who has set 20 fires this week in that area. The firefighters have managed to put them all out, but everyone there is extremely alarmed.
God bless our firefighters and may He have mercy on everyone who is in danger from the fires that are ravaging Colorado.

20 Acres on fire in the City limits of Estes Park Colorado with about 18 houses burned. The High Park fire is no over 75,000 acres back to 45% contained with almost 200 houses burned. About 2000 on the fire lines and a dozen air tankers. There are about 150 engines protecting houses.

Temperatures here are in the high 90s wow. I recall a couple summertime weeks at Fort Carson for annual training, when it snowed.

The fire is being called the Waldo Canyon fire since it's in or near Waldo Canyon ... Waldo Canyon is just west of Gardens of the Gods in Colorado Springs. My wife and I have hiked Waldo Canyon ... moderate hike with great views of Colorado Springs. We live on the western slope of the Colorado Rocky mountains now and fire hazard alerts are at their highest level ... the whole area is a tinderbox.

IIRC one of al Qaeda’s ideas was to set forest fires. Wouldn’t surprise me if they were involved in some of the fires.
