"Tell me, friend, does doctrine save or faith?"

Neither, we are saved by unmerited Grace. Faith is essential, but it is an act of the will. All are called to Salvation, there is a plan for Salvation unique to each of us, and there is sufficient Grace for all to be saved. Faith is our response to the call to Salvation.

"Does reading in Greek save or belief in the Lord Jesus Christ."

God calls all persons to seek Him, to know Him, to love Him and to serve Him in this life and the next. He has commanded us to;

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age." - Mt 28:19-20

All Christ's faithful are called to hand it on from generation to generation, by professing the faith, by living it in fraternal sharing, and by celebrating it in liturgy and prayer (Acts 2:42). For me to better accomplish this requires a more perfect knowledge of Jesus and His Gospel than I can gain from studying only errant English translations.

Peace be with you

Luke 7:50 And He said to the woman "Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace".

Did faith save her or was this a lie?
