I seem to remember that "The Gay Report", a comprehensive study put out by two gay researchers back in the seventies or eighties, found that the numbers of men who suffer from Same-sex Attraction Disorder (SAD) who had experiences with adults when they were yet minors was in the high nineties. (The percentage that has had contact with a minor when they were an adult was something like 74%)
Seems there are three main factors in this (for male homosexuality) 1) absence or insufficiency of a relationship with one's father (or suitable male role model), 2) being molested or otherwise traumatized, 3) being relentlessly teased by one's peer group during the formative years. Most SADs have one or all three of these in their past.
