White House press secretary Jay Carney made an angry phone call to a Fox News executive after the network aired a scathing video review last month of President Barack Obamas first three years in office, the New York Times reported.
According to the Times, Carney told Michael Clemente, Fox News senior vice president for news, that the video had crossed the line even for Fox & Friends, the morning show where it aired. Two unnamed Democrats reportedly told the newspaper about the call, described as a private conversation.
As The Blaze previously reported, the four-minute clip featured a series of then and now comparisons, including the national debt, jobless rate and gas prices. It was met with heavy criticism from both sides of the political spectrum: Media Matters said it crossed a new ethical line while Hot Airs Ed Morrissey questioned whether a news organization [should] produce and publish attack ads like this?
Fox News Executive Vice President for Programming Bill Shine ultimately disavowed the video, which has been pulled from Foxs website.
The package that aired on FOX & Friends was created by an associate producer and was not authorized at the senior executive level of the network, Shine said in a statement. This has been addressed with the shows producers.

This was news, not an “ad”.
“Fox News Executive Vice President for Programming Bill Shine ultimately disavowed the video....”
Good for producer Chris White and to hell with Fox news.
And maybe they don't.
Fox News is hardly the conservative megaphone we might like it to be and it certainly isn't the Republican party propaganda outlet the left pretends it is but Fox News is far from 'liberal' and those who make that claim are being unrealistic and unappreciative of the fact that Fox News does give the conservative point of view a voice, even it it isn't the video version of FR.
ANYTHING.....BUT...the Truth ....for these senseless ideologues.
But nowhere do I see them complaining that it was untrue, simply that it was aired in the first place.............
Looks a bit like Harry Reid but younger.
Don’t get your panties in a bunch, Jay.
Apparently, when a guy works for 0bama, the job interview never really ends...
Actually, I was just being sarcastic, and should have labeled my comment as such. I have no use for the fools who criticize FOX as being “liberal” when they think FOX should be wall-to-wall right-wing propaganda (but only on the few issues the complainers care about).
Ed acts like FOX isn't telling the truth. FOX could have went far further and just fabricated some false documents to shame Obama like CBS. But the whole blasted point is that no one needs to produce false documents to attack Obama when the truth works quite well.
Here is the subject ‘Fox & Friends’ clip:

Also, the advertisement that preceeds the clip is worth watching. It’s a takeoff on the Dos Equis “most interesting man in the world” ads. This one is about Ubama, “the most arrogant man in the world”. LOL! It ends with, “Stay ignorant, my friends.”
The criterion should be: is it truthful and accurate?
The Blaze...Frum’s outfit, right?
Ah thanks for the link. I have posted to the list site and on Twitter. Good one.
The Blaze is Beck’s, I believe.
Why the hell not, Ed? Ever watch MSLSD? They do it 24/7.
