Sarah Palin says that Obama did not respect the balance of power in the federal government when he issued his executive order last week on immigration, that he is now just telling Americans what he deems best by fiat. It was so blatant that she also suggested that we go back and talk to some of his former students because its clear Obama doesnt understand our constitutional process.
She was also asked about criticism that she didnt mention Romney in her speech at Right Online. But her reason was simple, that it would have violated the ground rules based on AFPs legal status as a non-profit. But she makes very clear where she stands and said that if the vote were had today, she wouldnt blink in voting for Romney over Obama and maintains shes always held the position of anybody but Obama.
Watch below Video at link:
So now because you disagree with a post I made, I’m a mittbot? Nice.
I’m going to let this one go because over the years you’ve been rational and a joy to talk to.
I really don’t know how to respond to this post.
I never voted for Newt because HE NEVER GOT ON THE BALLOT.
And here I thought it was directed at me.
LOL.
Weird.
“You used liberal slamming tactics with that comment.”
Give me a break. Slamming tactics? The guy I posted to is calling people bigots and slandering the whole site as a some haven for bigots. I don’t see how it’s out of line, or liberal in the least, to suggest that those type of comments don’t belong here.
He sure as hell wasn’t on the ballot here. Not that I liked him much anyway. He was good back in 1994 or so but seriously? Not who I wanted as R nom....and I don’t give a damh whp this site supported. Newt didn’t have a chance in the general. IMO
For the record, Perry was my #1 choice.Unfortunately many here. couldnt see his record or get past the very human fact that the guy had just had back surgery.
Now we have Mitt.
Good Lord, our only hope is to vote conservative down ballot and vote for the nominee.
6 years ago Newt was the angel of liberal death here.
A lot of us are feeling the ridiculous pressures.
I lost your point. Probably reading too many posts. I’m out of this conversation.
I really liked Perry. I know some in Texas didn’t like him all that much. I really liked him.
We need to do more than think about it. We need to be organizing the 2016 Tea Party Nominating Convention to be over and done with before the Republican Primary gets going, so we have a single conservative candidate to rally behind before the battle starts. Let all the pols know that if they won’t bother to show up to OUR debates and OUR convention, then they can kiss OUR votes goodbye in the Republican primaries.
Amen
That's funny, because on Tuesday's Hannity, she was asked that very thing:
Hannity: Just for the record, you are fully and completely on board, and you are supporting Governor Romney in his effort to unseat Barack Obama?Governor Palin: ... And, yes, if that vote were to be taken today obviously I would vote for President for Gov. Romney over President Barack Obama in a heartbeat. I wouldnt blink because I go back to what I said at the beginning anybody but Obama.
At the end of the day, Mitt Romney is not the problem any more than idiot Juan McCain was.
Our problem is that the GOP has no respect for conservatives.
We need to do an end run and gather all conservatives into a new 3rd party. Would our candidates win? Who knows? But I think a large, solidified conservative party would shake the GOP to its core and make them thin twice before taking us for granted.
As it is now, you have conservatives that are registered as libertarians, as independents, as Constitution Party, and many as GOP. If we had a clearly defined Conservative party and we all registered under it, our numbers would be crystal clear and the GOP would be highly motivated to ally with us. I would see it as a coalition. The GOP would have to nominate amply conservative national politicians to build a coalition with our Conservative Party.
As it stands now, we are just GOP house slaves. Serve the same purpose and we have the same value. None.
Romney is not the problem. GOP-e is the problem.
Starving Romney of our votes and letting Obama have another 4 years to destroy the USA is not the solution.
CHIL-dren.
One sad mischaracterization does not make up for another one.
“Mittbot!”
“Obama suck up!”
Half the tea party problem is, is that after we got the house in 2010 they started resting on their laurels.
(wipe those hands) our work is done.
Then they commenced to infighting.
GREAT post, and I love your tagline!
I’m sorry to say you are delusional if you think the expressed opinions of the tiny handful of people here had anything at all to do with the outcome of the 2012 GOP presidential nominee.
The sum total of Freepers is a spit in the ocean against all of the moneyed interests that back presidential candidates.
I have no clue how you can possibly think Freepers had ANYTHING to do with getting Romney as a nominee.
You are giving Free Republic way, way, way, way, way, way, way too much credit for the un-electibility of the pathetically weak group of GOP candidates that ran for president.
The fix was in a long, long time ago. The GOP-e hand picked Romney as they hand picked McCain. In their permanent insanity, they think you have to grovel to the middle voter instead of stand tall on conservative principles.
FR had next to nothing to do with Romney being the winning GOP-e candidate. Next to nothing. Or do you also think Free Republic was responsible for things like making sure only Romney and Ron Paul were even on the Virginia ballot?
C’mon. Use your head.
I agree.
How we go about changing that is were we differ.
I would suggest that calling ourselves potty mouths and beating each other up is not the best possible solution.
It's like herding cats.
And then came POS LIBERAL Romney with his plan for '12..with no accomplishments FOR America but against what she stands for...and the Palin trashing started on day one. EVIL/liberal attacks GOOD/conservative.
You don't have to be a rocket science, just have a desire for TRUTH - it had MITT'S fingerprints ALL over those BOGUS charges in Alaska and she was acquitted of ALL. So I call it as you presented it.
