You do make a good point sarasmom. She is the adult and the monitor in charge of all things...discipline.
Indicates she is not inexperienced at all. She was a driver for some 20 years as well.
The only thing I can think is that the “rules for monitors” are so strict, that it leaves the driver & bus monitors with no form of recourse. Years ago you’d get booted off the bus on the spot to walk home. You can’t do that, touch them or even ‘yell’ at them. In this case I don’t know what else she could do, but ignore them. It is my understanding their buses have video and audio recording equipment ...so we have the student video...why no district video. Was the equipment not working? Plus, often discipline type monitor reports are made back at the station with discipline handed out later, not by the monitors. Note, you can’t write the students names inthe reports!
And checking through the blogspot for them...this district has had major issues for years: http://greeceschool2006.blogspot.com/
About 30 years ago I was a school bus driver. I got my first route when one of the other drivers quit. This was at the best "Christian" school in the area. The parents paid big bucks to have their kids go. The reason the other driver quit is that these "Good Christian" kids decided to burn a copy of the Bible on the bus. That is right. They started a fire and burnt a copy of the Bible.
The very first day I had the route one of these little angels threw a can of Pepsi out the window and hit a police cruiser right on the hood.
The officer pulled me over and read the little B@$T@RD$ the riot act.
Now I am sure that "One note Janey" wants to blame this on godless public education, but none of these kids had ever gone to public school, and they sure were taught about God at that school.
This is the fault of the parents and the little B@$T@RD$ they raised, as are most of the ills of society today.
