Obama grants Holder request on 'Furious' documents as contempt vote looms (Executive Privilege)

President Obama has granted an 11th-hour request by Attorney General Eric Holder to exert executive privilege over Fast and Furious documents, a last-minute maneuver that appears unlikely to head off a contempt vote against Holder by Republicans in the House.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is expected to forge ahead Wednesday morning with its meeting on the contempt resolution anyway.

If the vote proceeds, Republicans have more than enough votes on committee to pass the resolution. However, Holder would not be considered held in contempt of Congress unless and until the full House approves the measure.

Issa needs to immediately supoena(?) phone records for the last 72 hours from Obama, Axelrod, Jarrett and Holder. And I do mean now!

It's going to take more than a nice, polite subpoena, which will just signal this group of thugs to start shredding.

The House needs to get a court order from a magistrate to immediately, forcefully execute a search warrant on every square inch of office space controlled by this Marxist.

I just wrote my Congressman, demanding that he immediately co-sponsor articles of Impeachment against these punk bastards.

I like my Congressman, as a person and as a Representative, and have been a reliable donor to his campaigns for many years; but this is the last straw. If they don’t impeach this Criminal 0bama Administration, there is no reason to keep any of them, even the good ones. Not another penny in donations until they do their Constitutional Duty.

I’m watching the committee meeting right now. The Democrats are saying their usual garbage like “I’ve never seen anything like this” etc. regarding the dust up with Holder. But they are not being as shrill as they can be. So far anyway. I’ve seen a lot of these types of meetings and so far today it appears that the Democrats are being very careful. Something is very wrong here and it appears to me that the Republicans have a smoking gun (no pun intended)and the Democrats know they do. Even Kucinich is being kind of meek and mild.

Romney is a fool if he does not scream to the high heavens about this. Blood is in the water. A lot of blood.

As far as Issa goes I am very impressed with the way he is handling this. Calm and deliberate.
