“...Issa: Where’s your dog?
Holder: The president ate him.”
LOL! Best one in the last few days!
In all likelihood Holder has already shredded the really damaging stuff. Now he’s just playing out the clock.

It’s the perfect crime!!! :)

I agree. I like Issa and he is really the only one making Holder’s life miserable. IMO, the Fast and Furious debacle is one of the most egregious scandals in the Obama administration. Absolutely unconscienable.

What an unmitigated farce — Those two supposedly going anywhere to accomplish anything. Also everything coming from the administration right now is calculated to try and take the heat off Holder.

“Hope Issa is serious”
Like lots of others on this thread, expecting a Republican to have that kind of spine isn’t easy. Even if Issa forces the issue to the point of a vote for contempt, will the Republicans actually stand and be counted.
I share your hope. Mr. Issa: DON’T BACK DOWN!

I fear Issa may not have the complete support of the leadership to take it as far as he my wish. That said, given Obama’s (personal) approval rating is high, and the media most of the institutions of this country are under the control of liberals, the GOP has a tough situation here. Add to that this issue (Fast and Furious) has NOT been extensively covered by the media - the Dems/media could frame whatever happens anyway they want, given most people know nothing about this.
This isn’t Watergate and the extensive coverage it got. That boy in the Jiffy Pop balloon story a few years back (I know he wssn’t in it, BTW) got more network news coverage than Fast and Furious.

And after he convicted of Contempt of Congress, then what will happen to him?Absolutely nothing.

Frankly, I was hoping more along the lines of barn doors and stretched hides.

This has the smell of a Ron Brown moment. It would have most entertaining had Issa mentioned that possibility to Holder. "By the way Mr. Attorney General, might I suggest you refrain from taking any flights to Bosnia."
Holder is already a dead man walking; he's just too stupid to know it. The only thing that will keep him alive now is if he spills ALL the beans. I call it "the Jennifer Flowers effect," wherein a person stays alive because they have become too visible.
