In a revolt against Romney, at least 40 more national convention delegates asked to join 123 previous plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the Republican National Committee, and their attorney said hundreds more may soon follow suit.
The first 123 delegates, all from the 9th Circuit, sued the RNC, its Chairman Rince Priebus, and every state party chairman in the 9th Circuit in Federal Court on Monday, demanding the right to vote for the candidate of their choice on every ballot at the Republican National Convention, including the first.
The delegates claim the party violated federal law by forcing them to sign loyalty affidavits, under threat of perjury, to vote for Mitt Romney, though he is not yet the official nominee.

I finally read the entire article posted. It seems these guys who are suing are claiming that the RNC has committed voter fraud in the primaries across the country - forcing delegates to support Romney. They claim that in Arizona the voting machines were rigged so that people who voted for Ron Paul (who else) showed up as votes for Romney.
They claim that guys in “dark suits” showed up at state GOP conventions and forceably removed anyone who didn’t support Romney.
This sounds like major BS. My BS-O-Meter is topping out. I think these guys are Ron Paul supporters who didn’t like how the primary elections turned out and they want to change the vote. Somehow they got elected as party delegates and now they want to change the outcome of the primaries in their respective states.
There were a lot of accusations flying but no evidence other than hearsay. I’m thinking this is just Ron Paul supporter shenanigans.
Oh, if it’s Paul supporters - yep loony.
In California, the ballots are so screwed up - I want to vomit.
For some reason unknown to sanity, everyone can vote for anyone.
Except for president the top two people for an office run against each other in November.
We have 54(?) congressional districts, and have about ten that have two dems and two repubs running against each other.
Totally wiped out third party to choose who they want. And the dems and repubs in those cases have no one one either.
For president, I don’t even know if they are dedicated to a candidate or not.
Hey, thanks for letting me know.
We need him in DC a lot more.
Willard needs to be taken down before he takes the country down and willfully gets the GOP blamed for it.
How is this great news? Ron Paul dickheads starting trouble for commited delegates in an elected contest. Is the Republican Party yo be a banama republic also to be cheered.
Romney was not my candidate but he won the nomination and this shit is silly and stupid.
Have to ask 'why'?
And from there. ..we go 'where' and to whom? And expect to win, that is. . .
Why not save all this energy, so as to prepare the next wave of Conservatives to replace the RINO's who are cluttering up our Congress. . .so as to insure, Romney's feet held to 'fire' - so to speak.
Think, these current MO's; will damn our prospects of voting out, Obama.
We are past mid-stream; changing boats, not a good thing.
BINGO!
Great news? Why???
I voted for Newt in the primary..He did not get the votes necessary..
Pray tell why you think he should get the nomination now?
Romney wasn’t my guy..but I will support him in November.
For those of you who don’t believe in keeping your word, why believe anything you say?
So YOU support backstabbing by Romney,
RomneyCARE by Romney,
DNC judges by Romney,
gay marriage imposed by force by Romney,
BIG DIG coverups by Romney, and
endless lying/cheating by Romney.
Where are YOUR morals, FRiend?
I voted for Santorum. He didn’t win, he tied.
Then 6 party officials got together in the middle of the night and 4 of them voted to change the rules and give the win to Romney.
Sounds like Obama’s Chicago machine to me.
Dumb. And dumb on so many levels.
This will go nowhere - has to be another Ron Paul PR stunt.
I swear, these guys get more kooky by the election.
Federal voting law doesn’t apply to the Electors.
State law does.
Even the 9th circus will so rule - I seriously doubt that they will hear this at all.
Can anyone here imagine the chaos that would grip American politics if electors were not bound on the 1st ballot?
Forget Mitt, it would throw the entire system out the door
The GOP might want Mitt, but I’m not so sure he’s very popular amongst the masses.
What? The “masses” voted for him. - Not the GOP
>and CONSERVATIVES
will not vote for a poser ETCH=a-sketch.
Wrong - way wrong
Actually, it is correct.
Conservatives are so disappointed with Mr. McRomneyCARE
as to be REJECTED. Many will not vote.
The Democrats who voted for Mr. RomneyCARE in the
primaries will not do so again.
The Legion of Cheaters Mr. RomneyCARE moved from state
to state are not available in ALL STATES on election day.
The GOPe has finished the GOP
if Mr. RomneyCARE is nominated.
>Anybody could win and damn near anybody would be better at beating Obama than Romney.
So tell me - why would Obama be thrilled?
Because the voters have already spoken, that why.
and they chose Romney, not whomever else you & others chose.
While you - and I - might rather have had another person run for president, Romney ran, made his case to the American Republican voters, and won.
Holding their votes to be null & void would be an epic disaster and it would be wise for others so like minded to see that.
I will put my personal feelings aside and do what is best for America - and that is removing Obama.
This was your post:
>CONSERVATIVES
will not vote for a poser ETCH=a-sketch.
and it is still wrong, not correct.
BTW, it is how Mitt was nominated, notwithstanding our feelings about the matter
Republicans and Democrats.
Two groups of slaves shouting back and forth over a shared fence over who is free. Yet both groups of morons stop to chuck rocks at free people walking by on the road.
BTW, did you happen to see the thread with so called conservatives declaring that maybe we do need a dictator? Apparently all that blather about pushing Mitt St Jesus to the right was pure fantasy.

No, your accusations are false, and you’re still yelling.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
“He did it first!” is immature.
nswered that question: “The loyalty should be to promises made, rules in existence when the votes were cast and the voters who cast them.”
