So crazy she died of the same illness as her mother at the exact same age.

In Part 4 of Brahms, you’ll find that the same thing happened to Brahms. A bad gene.

Daddy Brahms didnt even wait a full year after his wifes death to tie the knot again, and this time it was to a woman 18 years his junior.
Johannes Brahms wasnt doing badly either in 1865. His piano concerto was gaining respect. A promoter was considering scheduling a Brahms Week at a music festival. In Zurich, he met Dr. Theodor Billroth, and Jo and Ted were to have some excellent adventures over the years. Brahms began making serious money, and he sent it to Clara to invest. Brahms had no head for business, but Clara turned out to have a fine gift for picking the right stocks and bonds. Jo was becoming rich, and he upgraded to a better brand of cigar.
Brahms spent 1866 and 1867 on the road concertizing and writing the German Requiem. Along the way he wrote some songs, one of which gave him immortality.
Brahms: Lullaby, Op. 49/4
