Has the Romney Campaign responded to this latest political shenanigan by The White House? Whatever his faults might be, Romney is a “hardball” player when it comes to politics and campaigning. I’ve just got to believe that the Romney camp will find a way to head off this move by Obama to get the Mexican vote.
With all due respect, I disagree. IMHO this is a Friday afternoon press conference which only political junkies will care and talk about through the weekend. If Romney goes head to head on this issue he will be labeled a racist and THAT will be the story by next week: WHY DOES ROMNEY HATE HISPANICS!!!!
If anything I suggest Romney make some comment on the reporter that dared to question the King; “I look forward to asking him some serious questions without the teleprompter”. Let that become the story. Let the lackeys address the political issue.

I believe the president was correct last year when he was asked if he could do this very thing:
“There are enough laws on the books by congress that are very clear in terms of how we have to enforce our immigration system. That for me to simply, through executive order, ignore those congressional mandates - that would not conform with my appropriate role as president.”
