RUSH: So Romney went out and made a speech right before Obama's. Obama's giving his reset, "I'm the guy that you want for the next four years" speech. Romney went out there literally minutes before Obama, and we got a couple sound bites. He was loaded for bear. He was energetic. He was enthusiastic. Our buddy Jim Pethokoukis tweeted: "I don't think this is the Romney they want to run against at Obama campaign headquarters." Meaning, this is not who they thought Romney was gonna be. I don't think McCain would've done this. (McCain impression) "That's right, that's right, Limbaugh, I would have shown proper respect. The President of the United States is making a speech and it's his speech and I would schedule my speech for much later, or much earlier." Exactly right. But Romney's taking it to 'em. So we're rolling on Obama. Whatever's noteworthy, we'll have it. But let's listen to a couple of Romneys. He's in Cincinnati while Obama is in Cleveland.
ROMNEY: He's been president for three-and-a-half years. And talk is cheap. Action speaks very loud. And if you want to see the results of his economic policies, look around Ohio, look around the country, and you'll see that a lot of people are hurting. A lot of people have had some real tough times. And the policies the president put in place did not make America create more jobs. As a matter of fact, he made it harder for America to create more jobs.
RUSH: And then he predicted that Obama's gonna offer a bunch of excuses, a la, Barack Kardashian Oblame-o.
ROMNEY: He will have all sorts of excuses, all sorts of ideas he'll describe about how he'll make things better, but what he says and what he does are not always the exact same thing. And so if people want to know how his economic policies have worked and how they performed, why, they can talk to their neighbor and ask whether things are better. They can talk to the 50% of college kids graduating from college this year that can't find a job. They could talk to the people who represent the unemployed. The president said that if we let him borrow $787 billion for a stimulus, he'd keep unemployment below 8% nationally. We've now gone 40 straight months with unemployment above 8%. But then he'll say, well, but the things he's been doing have been good and helped create growth and put people back to work. Oh, really? Go check on that.
RUSH: That's Mitt Romney just before Obama.

I’m with you tumblindice. When I vote I stand before God and country...and I’ll not cast my precious ballot for a man who has no honor.
The ABOs like to try to make us feel guilty. “Obama thanks you”. Don’t fall for it!
“Yep, I still dont plan on voting for Romney, but he is impressing me with the fact he is fighting against President Obama. Lets see if he can keep it up.”
So you’re saying that you are voting for Obama, is that right? Sure glad we didn’t have folks like you back at the time of the Revolution for Independence. With people like you, we’d still be a English Colony!
He wasn’t my first choice, or my second, or even my third - but DAMN if he doesn’t have an instinct for the jugular!
He knows he’s going to have to prove himself to Conservatives and he’s not going to do that by making nice to the Bamster. He knows that the press is against him, so he’s not going to telegraph his moves in advance, either.
Love him or hate him, it’s clear that Romney is not an idiot, and that he intends to fight!
I can live with that.
I plan on voting to fire zero, get his a$$ out of the house, and take his band of crooked charlatans who are bent on the the destruction of the US from within with him.
say what you want about Mormons—they don’t give up. They will fight tooth and nail. Now you will start to see a new Mittens. He has taken off the velvet gloves and put on the iron ones.
Fine, then there's a higher possibility of BO, a "man" with less than no honor being reelected.
R seems to be the presumptive nominee; can we at least build up what's good about him instead of tearing him down?
I expected to see the same old, "Myth is a dirty RINO Mormon scumbag" posts that always take over all things Romney.
And it's early, so it may well end up there eventually.
But I am pleasantly surprised to see my fellow Freepers actually make the comments they are making.
FWIW - I am one of the "Anybody But Obama" crowd, and will vote for Romney IF it looks to be close enough to matter here in PA.
Until then, I will continue to read the "Romney" threads, and offer little or no comments.
Excellent point, that needs to made over and over
Feel free, but a non-voter is as good as a non-existent voter.
We have to take not just take the senate back but get the super majority, plus increase our seats in the House
I’m stating why it is that I won’t support him, not trying to “tear him down”. And I don’t list his good qualities because I don’t think he has any..
I didn’t hear him say that he isn’t voting. He said that he isn’t voting for either Romney or Obama.
Delegate count is over the top, the deal is done. Not planning to vote for Romney is planning to support Obama.
I did not vote for Romney in our Tennessee primary but I will vote for him in the General Election, and as far as I am concerned November 6 can not come soon enough
I did not vote for Romney in our Tennessee primary either, but I will vote for him in the General Election, and as far as I am concerned November 6 can not come soon enough
So I am suggesting lets put the hatred against Mitt Romney behind, lets unite and give Mitt Romney a Landslide against Barack Oblame-o like it hasn't happened in many years
Nope, Ron Paul was weeded out.
My prediction is that the majority of the “spam-a-lots” who constantly strafe these threads with “I’m not voting for Romney” declarations will - on Election Day - end up voting for Romney.
