At this moment, people in Osaka and Kobe are tweeting the color of Osaka bay looks strange.
From the picture, it looks pale yellow.
From local citizens, it became strange color before The great Hanshin earthquake (1995) as well. They might need to stay informed just in case.

Maybe we could send them a couple hundred trial lawyers ... airdrop 'em right onto the yellow spot and put a quick end to whatever is causing it.
Like others, I'd be alert if I lived around there. But not to the point of paranoia.
Looks like TEPC found a new place to dispose of the waste product from Fukushima #4
The bay is about 500 driving miles from Fukushima so I’d say about 300 miles as the crow flies. Don’t know if any shakes, rattles and rolls in Osaka would be the final straw on the nuke’s bulging #4 wall or not. Either way, I wouldn’t want to be on the island these days.
I don't want to wish any further misfortune on those poor people. They just can't seem to catch a break. That island must be one of the worst geological formations on Earth to call home, IF you take the short view.
Otherwise, anyone choosing to live within 1,000 or 2,000 miles (depending on who you talk to) of Yellowstone, or any of the planet's other super-volcanoes, won't look too bright either, me included. But, I am kind of hoping, for their sake, it is just a plankton bloom, since all the alternatives I can think of are a lot worse.
Soils in the Osaka area are primarily yellow clays and they had some significant rainfall of late. I’metting on surface water runoff coloring the bay. I live near a large somewhat enclosed saltwater body, and the water color is significantly influenced by runoff - most folks never pay attention,so when it’s pointed out they assume something terrible has happened.
He’s at it again! Come on, lizard! Calm down! :)
That’s “I’m betting”...
2004 9.1 Sumatra
2010 9.0 Chile
2011 9.0 Japan
2012 8.6 Sumatra
I’m expecting Seattle or Alaska to get it any time.
Wow. I don't want to be paranoid, but I don't want to be dead either. I think if my family were there, I'd send them away, while I stuck around to guard against looters. Call me crazy. Or cowardly. Things like this spook me! I'll admit it.
Because earthquake warnings and Japanese sci-fi monsters would look silly on a thread about a river in England.
Thanks for the Ping....very very interesting!
Spot on. Earthquake coming....
I like that! Seems like an eminently sensible, high probability explanation. And it ratchets down the hysteria. Were the recent storms larger than they usually get in that area? Have they seen this sort of thing during other storms?
Maybe Mayor of NY ban on 40 inch soda may have been good idea especially for Japanese lizard like Godzilla LUV LOL!
Well Jack only BIG SO Call quake that Alaska got nail was Anchorage one in 1964
Maybe this time Dutch Harbour AK might get it that would kill Deadliest Catch next season
So Gamera can spew flame at an angle. Impressive.
