No, I didn't lie. Lie requires intent. I was simply wrong.
My error comes from personal experience. I've been in two wars. In the second one, the Brigadier said “As opposed to what you were allowed to due in Vietnam, we really vanquished them this time.
He said it over about 85 enemy corpses.
My apologies. I hope you can understand my error.

(America can survive 4 years of Romney. She cannot survive another 4 years of an unfettered Obama!)

No apologies necessary. It isn't like you're the first person to do a variation on Emily Latella.
Why do you think I have the words, "When in doubt, look it up!" seared into my brain? {^)

You should have seen me scrambling for a dictionary to make sure I was using the word correctly! {^)
Totally understandable goof.

I can understand because I make plenty of them myself. One of my biggest errors on FR was quoting my fellow South Carolinian last night to you. That was over the line. I also apologize.

My apologies. I hope you can understand my error. I can. Happens to us all; especially with words that SOUND the same, but are spelled (spelt?) differently.

It stings a bit to be shown you goofed, but for me, when I get over it, I realized I’ve just learned one more thing.
