Rubio demonstrating that race comes before party. Disagree with the appointment or not, Rubio is pro-amnesty and he's working the Hispanic vote.

What is up with Rubio? First amnesty and now this? Who is he trying to appeal to?

We worked behind the scenes with the Administration and reached an agreement on Nicaragua...

I hope you get your part of the deal before confirmation Marco - because otherwise you've been pawn3d.

It is an ambassador appointment, not a judge. This is just to stir us up about Rubio. There are bigger issues that the GOP should fight.

Senator Rubio will make a fine choice for a Vice Presidential nominee to run with Governour Romney!

I wouldn’t help Obama do anything whatsoever. It baffles me why any Republican would. Is this so important that Rubio feels he must take a stand? Dang, a little light in the loafers there bud.

He talks a pretty good game, then something Hispanic comes up and all bets are off.

Sorry, I don’t need these fair weather friends.

Rubio doesn't meet the consitutional qualifications to be president (he's not natural born). Consequently he may not be vice-president.

If Rubio is named as VP-candidate, then it is clear that both parties have made Article II, Section 1, Para 5 another "dead letter."

Who gives a crap? This clown of Obama’s will be move down there, settle in, and then have to quit in January. :)

This is almost as useless as Arizona 8’s election yesterday. The people there basically without a representative from the time Giffords was tragically shot by some leftist a-hole.

She stays in office, unable to fulfill her duties, so she could get a pension. And several months later they have an election just to have ANOTHER one 146 days later.

Let’s keep our eyes on the ball here. The election isn’t that far away and our goal is, SEND ZERO HOME and de-horn Harry Reid and his angels of darkness. Anyone seriously staying home on Election Day, or voting Dumocrat,Libertarian, or Green? Or just not voting? Then remember- whatever happens is your fault. Think about what happened when we voted, on principle of course, for Perot. Then go get registered - this is important.

I have a bad feeling about Rubio. His abuse of corporate credit cards bothers me. A lot of people will say “no big deal.” I say where there is smoke there is fire. People who abuse corporate credit cards by charging personal expenses to them have serious charecter flaws and show bad management skills. I have seen this many times at my work and in local politics. The oppositon will start digging and find plenty of ammunition. Governor McDonnell of Virginia would be a much better VP nominee.

With all the constant pushing of Rubio in addition to all the Jeb Bush crap lately, I’ve come to the conslusion that Rubio is an establishment ploy. I hope Romney picks someone else to run with him. And if Rubio proves to be another wolf in the fold, then he can be removed from the senate instead of being the next moderate heir apparent.

Rubio is your typical “Hispanic” whose “race” is above ANYTHING. All of the FL “Tea Party” types got SUCKERED into supporting this POS. Remember you can REALLY trust VERY FEW Blacks(Cain, Alan West being some of the VERY FEW exceptions) and “Hispanics(mostly MEXICANS)” are MOSTLY the same as Blacks.

I need a good bit more information before *jumping to conclusions* regarding this decision by Senator Rubio.

It’s Rubio’s closeness to Jeb “amnesty” Bush that has long given me pause (and considering some of the recent quotes from Jeb, it only manages to heighten my alarm). Rubio certainly gives a good speech. And, I sometimes think I might go overboard in my paranoid wariness. But dammit, after the past few years of seeing various Republicans supporting open-borders amnesty, to repeatedly backstabbing Palin and the Tea Party movement, I just no longer have the reservoir of generic trust in the GOP I used to have. Quite the opposite, actually.

“Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) is vowing to break with conservatives”

What other vows of conservatism is he willing to break?

He’s “growing in office” and is “learning to play ball” all the while “reaching across the aisle” .....its the metamorphosis of a Conservative to a Rino....the final coup comes when he starts collecting “campaign donations” to his “re-election (oops..”retirement”) fund in return for his “bipartisanship”;

At that point he no longer is free to vote the Conservative/Constitutional ticket on behalf of We the People. He is then owned.
