My understanding is that it WASN’T a bail hearing, which is why the questions caught Shellie by surprise, before they had even spoken with their lawyer about how the website money worked.
Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, but it sounds like Angela Corey heard the tapes of them talking in code about the money and sprung the bond questions on Shellie at an unrelated hearing that George wasn’t even at - knowing they hadn’t figured out with their lawyer how the money was going to work.
Sounds a bit like entrapment to me. Due process rights violated, I would think.
And of course, Angela Corey deliberately taking out the line (in the transcript for her motion) where Shelley offered to call somebody who would know the exact amount.
Just as a theoretical question, I wonder what would happen if a bunch of people joined together to collect funds for a $10,000 bounty on Judge Lester’s head, Angela Corey’s head, and Eric Holder’s head. Made it really public, and large groups protested in the streets holding signs calling for those heads dead or alive.
Think anybody in law enforcement would do anything about it? Think there would be calls for “civility”, like after the Gabby Giffords and Judge John Roll assassination?
The bail hearing was on Friday, April 20th. George was in the courtroom, Shellie was on the phone. All the money transfers/transactions happened earlier that week.

When Shellie was asked about the PayPal account, she referred the judge and prosecutor to her brother-in-law to get the total. Neither took her up on the offer.
Subsequent to that hearing, there was another hearing on 4/27 in which O'Mara disclosed the approximate total and told the judge that the money had been transferred into a trust. At that hearing, Judge Lester said that he didn't know if he could tap the PayPal money for bail. If even the judge didn't know, how could the Zimmermans know?? The video is here
The hearing that was supposed to be about media access to the discovery took place on June 1. The judge allowed the prosecution (over the objection of O'Mara) to file a bond revocation motion. George had a right to confront his accusers and also to have time to prepare to defend against the motion, but the judge denied him those due process rights and revoked the bond on the spot.
Who knows how truthful the motion was. The quotes from the jail phone calls may have been heavily edited. The prosecution has already been caught editing Shellie Zimmerman's testimony to make her look untruthful. Video here
