“May be back out for the SF Marathon in late July. “

Be prepared for nudists. It’s becoming a real big trend out here. There was a naked bike ride last Saturday - enthusiastically promoted by the local media, naturally. We’re just so quirky and colorful and cool /s.

Why someone can put his thing in a kid’s face and not get charged with a sex crime I will never understand.

It’s only loaded because you’ve loaded it.

It’s the most basic question that could be asked concerning this matter.

I explained this to you once before. Unless you're talking about an amendment, whether you or I think it's right or wrong is irrelevant. What matters is what the people who wrote and ratified the Constitution intended and understood it to mean.

If you believe that the Constitution is a "enduring document", who's meaning was fixed as it was intended and understood at the time of ratification then nothing we decide here is going to change it. That's for people who belive in "living document" revisionism.

If you want to talk what the original intent was, we can do that. If you want to trash me for not wanting to entertain your revisionist fantasies go right ahead, but at least be honest about why you're doing it.

Sick. I have been out several times and haven't seen any of that garbage.
I normally stay in the Marina area which is a nice area.

Their intent was to provide equal protection for all persons, in every jurisdiction. That’s why the words of the Amendment explicitly say that.

Surely it wasn’t intended to do the exact opposite of what the Amendment says. That’s crazy.

Begging the question of personhood at conception vs birth might seem like a clever tactic, but it just makes you appear to not understand the issues involved.

You're not that stupid. Why do you pretend to be?

Well, let’s tally this up.

The law of God doesn’t matter.

The natural law doesn’t matter.

The stated principles of our nation’s charter, the Declaration of Independence, don’t matter.

The Constitution’s statement of purpose doesn’t matter.

The explicit words of the Fifth Amendment don’t matter.

All that matters is the opinion of an anonymous poster on Free Republic that the framers of the Fourteenth Amendment didn’t intend their explicit words to mean what they mean, and that therefore unborn persons aren’t really persons at all, constitutionally-speaking.

The obvious result? The status quo, which is abortion on demand.

And one self proclaimed "conservative" candiate who can't engage in a objective, critical discussion of his platform measured against the original intent of the Constitution without getting pissy and petulent about it.

Good luck with that.

Get back to me when you can deal with basic facts, like whether or not a person is a person, and whether or not it’s okay to kill them.

I'll get back to you when I'm unable to comprehend more than one fact at a time. Then we might be able to come to an agreement.

If we follow your counsel the shedding of the blood of the innocents will not end in this country, until the judgment of God falls on our heads.

Wake up.

"God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever."

-- Thomas Jefferson

Do you believe you can end the spilling of innocent blood? All of it?

You like to damand answers from everyone else, but don't think you have to provide any of your own.

You have the stench of hubris about you.

I hate politicians who think they know more about what the Constitution means than the people who wrote it.

I hate the daily shedding of the blood of thousands of innocent, helpless, defenseless, little children - in a country dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal, endowed by their Creator with certain UNALIENABLE rights, starting with the right to live.

I hate the fact that to most in our political class today the oath of office is little more than a photo op, instead of what it is supposed to be, a sacred, binding obligation before God.

"Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths?"

-- George Washington
