“Obama had to walk it back, his media didn’t back him up this time.”
I disagree. It’s impossible to tell what Hussein actually said to “walk it back,” due to the media’s creative placement of quotes:
Hours after saying the private sector is “doing fine,” President Obama on Friday walked back those remarks, saying it’s “absolutely clear” the economy is not fine.
“That’s precisely why I asked Congress to start taking some steps to make a difference,” Obama said.
I heard his walk-back on radio - an extended quote w/o interruptions. He was totally condescending and snotty, with the petulant attitude of how could anyone be so stupid to think I made a mistake. BUT he did not explain what he meant not why he said it. Like his freguent referrals to his “2 sons”? Maybe he had them transgenderized? Maybe he is losing it? or maybe he IS a moron.
Well, here’s the exact quote from the White House website:
“THE PRESIDENT: The truth of the matter is that, as I said, weve created 4.3 million jobs over the last 27 months, over 800,000 just this year alone. THE PRIVATE SECTOR IS DOING FINE. Where were seeing weaknesses in our economy have to do with state and local government — oftentimes, cuts initiated by governors or mayors who are not getting the kind of help that they have in the past from the federal government and who dont have the same kind of flexibility as the federal government in dealing with fewer revenues coming in. “

Of course, it wouldn’t surprise me a bit if they edited that part out real quick...
I heard is statement afterwards in full.
“I misstoke the question referring to MY private economic condition. Hell, I earned $60 million last month and still had plenty of time for golf and Michelle went on lots of free vacations. But of course, the other people’s private economy is lousy - and I feel their pain.”
We are getting dangerously, deliciously close to my long-predicted Obama Total Crack-up, I feel.
