Clintonfatigued has been warning us for a while that the U.S. Senate race in ND was uncomfortably close, and I never paid it much heed. I certainly am now. If the GOP can’t win an open-seat Senate race in freaking North Dakota, how can it win races in MT, NM, WI and VA?

Every race is different.

Berg is a weaker candidate than anyone imagined. Sand is worse as this is his fourth attempt. And Heitkamp is apparently stronger than anyone thought.

MT, WI, and VA are all doable but I have concerns that NM is too blue.

I am still extremely reticent to utter the word "tossup" but I guess I have to move it to lean R from safe. I am being arrogant? I mean, Heidi?

I flat out cannot see her with 50%, even it ends up 52-48 instead of 57-43 like I thought it would. Guess we'll have to waste a lot of money showing ND that she is Harry Reid in a skirt.

At the risk of bragging, I was warning that Elizabeth Dole was in trouble in 2008 when everyone else assumed she was a shoo-in. We all know how that turned out.
