"Yovonka and I are very concerned about the issue of cannibalism and the number of cases that are being reported
," said Allred, reading from a statement at a bizarre news conference at the Sofitel Miami. "We are hopeful that ... Yovonka can help the public understand the dire consequences of cannibalism for its victims."
Thanks, Gloria. We are indeed woefully ignorant when it comes to understanding that cannibalism might be a bad thing.

"It is very important that the social taboo and stigma that have long been attached to this subject continues and that society condemns cannibalism, rather that trivializing it or glamorizing it."Wow lady, that's a controversial view. I'm just not sure which side of this complex and difficult subject I'm on.

I had to check this twice to make sure it was not satire.
Even after all these years, I still have to ask myself why the “long suffering fiance’ of eighteen years” has to come out with statements that run totally counter to the evidence presented?
He was trying to get his life together....
He was given that drug against his will...
Yeah, he smoked weed, but that ain’t no drug...
Utter denial.

cannibalism is a serious issue and is very dangerous to the health and well-being of both the cannibal and the victimReally?! *best Johnny Carson voice* I did not know that!
they read the Bible and the Quran together
There's something off here. I'm not sure I believe the Bible claim, if they were reading the Koran.

LOL, I had to check it wasn’t satire too.
Apparently the Orlando Sentinel regards itself as a sacred repository of nearly-forgotten truths.

Think about this: 6 months ago this exact same story could have been written with these EXACT same words....and it would have been considered some hilarious and biting satire about Alred
(hee hee, get it?biting-that was unintentional)

Alfred Packer (1842-1907). In 1873, he guided a party of 20 men into the San Juan Mountains, continued in heavy snows against advice, and returned alone, saying his companions had abandoned him. Months afterward, search parties discovered the bodies of the missing men, most stripped of flesh. Packer was tried, found guilty of murder, and sentenced to 40 years of hard labor. Before he left the courtroom, he was assured of a place in posterity when the judge told him sternly, Packer, you depraved Republican son of a bitch, there were only five Democrats in Hinsdale County, and you ate them all!

Nice to see Gloria Allred trying to save face.

In retrospect, she decided the relationship left a bad taste in her mouth.
